I used that metric to determine whether or not Russia has won the war, since the purpose of the war is an invasion of a sovereign country with the goal being to take ownership of the country, return it to the Russian empire, and stave off further NATO expansion. So, given the below facts:

When you consider the cost/benefit ratio of what Russia spent in blood and treasure and what they have so far achieved, the real loser of this war is the Russian people.

WW2 could have been avoided if European nations outside of Germany would have agreed to be part of the Third Reich, and Asian nations would have agreed to be part of the empire of Japan.
