BREAKING NEWS: Jeb Bush Suspends Presidential Campaign

You can't buy your way into the White House if enough people don't like you and your brother.

History repeats itself,

When Dubya and Bill Clinton competed, Dubya suspended his campaign for the term also. When Clinton went Dubya took over.

Similarly, after Hillary Clinton takes the oval office for 8 years then it may be Jeb's turn.

Jeb's biggest mistake was being born after George W.

He'll never be more than a footnote to G.W.

I am actually sorry.

Before this all started, I rolled my eyes at the thought of yet another Bush in the White House.

But as the campaign rolled on I realized that thought I do not agree with him on many issues, he seems like a genuinely decent man (for a politician), if naive/thin skinned.

ANd with Trump's bullying, Cruz's weirdness, Rubio's robotics and Christie's childishness...Bush was a breath of fresh air.

Rubio is robotic? Really? Have you listened to Trump recently, or ever? Paaaleeeeze!!! Rubio is the least robotic of any of the Republican candidates. I can personally mimic (with fairly accurate voice impersonation) nearly every Trump diatribe or interview as they happen live. If you want to call Rubio "robotic" you must call Trump ultra robotic because Trump doesn't get into specifics or issues or how he'll accomplish what he promises, he just keeps saying he'll "make America great again" and "build a wall" and blather on about how China, Mexico etc. are "eating our lunch".

The only way that Jeb will see the inside of the White House is as a guest.

George W. Bush wore out the Bush families welcome at the White House.

Dubya was that stupid huh?

But, no, even if he was, I do not see how or why Jeb will get to be blamed for it after a decade or so?

To me, he often appears robotic.

You don't agree...whatever.

We are done here...bye bye.

Maybe in ten years you'll figure it out.

G.W. Bush wasted thousands of American lives and billions of American dollars on a war in Iraq against a country that was no threat to the USA at the time.

ISIS was created by that war and Iran's Shia brothers were put in charge of Iraq by it.

Hillary has a 75 point loss to voters whom honesty and trust are important and this is in the primaries with Democrats.

What do you think will happen in a general election with undecided voters? Bernie is a better candidate for democrats at this point. At least people would buy a used car from him, to use the old adage.

But a Clinton has a better international reputation than Bernard the car salesman:

And how does Jeb gets to be blamed for it?

Because he thinks that G.W. Bush's unnecessary war in Iraq was a good idea.

That's one of the reasons why he won't be moving into the White House.

The man is a fool.He should buy a fool's cap and wear it every day.

Unfortunately, the GOP hasn't been looking at a field of stellar candidates from day one this time around. If there was one in the field that was more qualified and reasonably minded than the others, it was Bush. With awful campaign and image management, he didn't really stand a chance.

Hopefully, his humble move will inspire others to consolidate the opposition to Trump. Trump is as unprepared for the post of President as he is the reality of facing a majority that is NOT broken up over a half dozen other options.

I think its worth mentioning that his image management problems stemmed partly from his taken positions. That and its a bad year to be an establishment candidate.

Was thinking how weird this election season could get. Here is a scenario I just thought up. The whitehouse times Hilary indictment just previous to Dem convention when Hilary looks to have won so Biden is handed the nomination by getting the super delegates and Hilary's delegates going to him with Obama deal that he pardons her just before he leaves office. Biden selects elizabeth waren as VP. Rubio makes deal with Kasich to be VP if he will get out of race so that it becomes 3 way race with trump, cruz, rubio. Rubio wins a close election. Trump decides to run as an independent and convinces a bitter Bernie to run as his VP by promising he'll go single payer and free college. Trump/Sanders win as adding strong millenial support of Sanders with the Trump coalition along with enthusiam of their supporters and consistency of message of anti-establishment and no money from special interests. Crazy scenario. Wonder the latest Trump could prepare for this scenario in getting the signatures needed to get on the ballot in 50 states.

To buy a seat at the table.

Lots of people give to more than one candidate.

It's all about buying influence.

Yes. And the only way to get a seat at a political table is to have a candidate you just bought... win.

Actually it was trillions of dollars. Just think of even a quarter of that money spent on infrastructure.

Good,

Cya Jeb

Good News for Rubio: Bush is out.
Bad News for Rubio: popular Nikki Haley (perhaps a VP choice) definitely lifted him a few points, he probably won't get elsewhere.

Bad News for Cruz: Evangelical Carson stays in: -5%... while Rubio laps up app 5% the ex-Bush vote.
Significant swing, and YEC-Carson says he's in til the end.

The final nail in the Jeb Bush campaign coffin was obviously the Nicki Haley endorsement of Rubio. That was a sign that the GOP establishment has finally given up on their preferred candidate(Jeb) and are throwing all their efforts at the only establishment candidate who still has a chance. Without that endorsement, I think Cruz would have taken second place.
