Biden will “force” unvaccinated people to get a shot

99.6% of the people that get the virus recover fully.
Of the .4% that have died from COVID, 94.6% were senior citizens with 2.6 co-morbid ailments.
The most common ailments were obesity related illness like diabetes and hypertension.

If you are unhealthy, you absolutely should get the vaccine.

To date...approx 114,000,000 have contracted the COVID virus naturally. Approx 161,000,000 have been fully vaccinated. Herd immunity should be well under way.

OH...and BTW...
5 of the 50+ 'fully vaccinated' Texas lawmakers that flew to DC have contracted COVID.
The effectiveness of the Vaccines continues to drop. Pfizer initially listed their effective rate at 95%. Its now down to 87% 'officially' (the J&J Vaccine is estimated in the low 60s), while Scotland says their research is showing that it is 79% effective, and research from Israel shows its actually more like 66%. Pfizer is concerned enough about the efficacy of the shots that it is planning on a third 'booster' shot, but everyones favorite fraud, Dr Fauci is saying its not neccessary (because after all...if people know the vaccine isnt as effective as has been promised then they may hesitate to get the shot).

By all means...if you want it get the shot. If you are unhealthy, get the shot. Ive had the Moderna vaccines...was one of the first when it came out. But its rather ridiculous that so many are so militant about a shot that they still really know next to nothing about, other than the fear and anger they feel when others wont get in line dutifully.

Not true DeSantis is. He is telling corporations they can not insist on employee or customer vaccinations. Norwegian Cruise lines are taking him to court.

Huh... I wonder if the Trumpsters who are against the government telling corporations what to do are also against the Republicans in government who are trying to pass laws so they can they can tell Facebook and Twitter and Google what to do..

I support employers being allowed to mandate vaccines as a condition of employment, especially at hospitals, however I don't believe government should mandate.
 
It's hard for me, no, it's impossible for me, to take complaints made by progressives about someone engaging in hyperbole to demagogue an issue seriously.

She is doing the same thing that they have made a cottage industry.

I would support either strategy if it means that most people get vaccinated. I'm tired of the pandemic, and we need to make it hard for idiots to walk around unvaccinated.

When I was to attend first grade you could not unless you had a smallpox vaccination. Years later Dr. Sulk developed one of the first successful polio vaccines and everyone was quick to get them. Those two horrible diseases were eradicated in America by people getting the vaccines, now there is a chance to do the same with another. But some so not want to take the vaccine for one reason or another though I believe most people do, so as to those who do not I say leave them alone. You really can't fix stupid and over time it will be a self-eliminating situation.

Most people will have mild symptoms and get better on their own. But about 1 in 6 will have severe problems, such as trouble breathing. The odds of more serious symptoms are higher if you're older or have another health condition like diabetes or heart disease or even obesity which is a plague in the US..

34 million cases in the US, 608 thousand dead ..it has effectively lowered our life expectancy.

I'm considering a third Pfizer shot, a booster.

The militancy about the vaccine is rooted in politics and ignorance.

I have no sympathy for those people, as a matter of fact I don't think medical insurance or Medicare should cover there hospital cost.

Can you tell us what share of those who contracted COVID 'naturally' are also in the fully vaccinated column? About 80 million of that 114 million won't have been tested positive and have been vaccinated, and many who were tested positive also got vaccinated. You can't add those two numbers to get to a total useful to see how close we are to herd immunity.

I'm not sure what your argument is. If the vaccines are less effective than initially estimated, then the risks the unvaccinated pose to the vaccinated goes up. At 80% effective, 32 million who did get the vaccine, many older and/or with pre-existing conditions, won't be protected and a young person infecting them risks killing them. And as the effectiveness goes down, the percentage of the population who need to get vaccinated to achieve herd immunity goes UP. If you're arguing FOR vaccines, including by people younger, healthy and at little personal risk, but who put others at risk of DEATH if they get COVID, that's a helluva argument you're making.
 
No one who is pro-vaccination against Covid is dehumanizing or demonizing the immuno-compromised.

We are kicking butt on those who can get the vaccinations but are not because they 'know' better.

In fact, they 'know' nothing or are politicizing the issue.

And THOSE things endanger the immuno-compromised.

We make life very difficult for serial DUI violators. It becomes increasingly difficult for repeat DUI offenders to drive a car.
