  • Safeguarding access to reproductive health care services, including abortion and contraception;
  • Protecting the privacy of patients and their access to accurate information;
  • Promoting the safety and security of patients, providers, and clinics; and
  • Coordinating the implementation of Federal efforts to protect reproductive rights and access to health care.

A meaningless unfunded mandate, while noting that to do more (aka anything meaningful) would require congressional action.

President Biden has made clear that the only way to secure a woman’s right to choose is for Congress to restore the protections of Roe as federal law. Until then, he has committed to doing everything in his power to defend reproductive rights and protect access to safe and legal abortion.

What Biden left out is what Constitutional federal power allows either the POTUS or Congress to “secure (aka create) a woman’s right to choose (abortion on demand)”?

This EO/EA does seem admit that the SCOTUS via RvW did, in fact, make law (which only congress can do). While the federal government can regulate many goods/services (like tobacco products or alcoholic beverages) it cannot demand that states, counties or cities provide “access to” them.

I've always viewed the above term as something manufactured by the hysterical pro-life movement.
What IS "abortion ON DEMAND"?
Abortion is not a premium cable service, people need abortions, they don't "order them up ON DEMAND" like some boxing match on ESPN Premium.

"Hi, I'd like to order two tickets to my wife's abortion please?"

It's a manufactured "loaded term" designed to portray abortion as something similar to "Frazzledrip"

OK, let’s substitute “on request” for ”on demand” to make it seem less urgent that one be served. It’s like the choice of walking into any goods/service (public accommodation?) business and requesting to buy that good/service.

I can't spell it out any plainer. An abortion is a medical procedure, not a pizza.
You can pretend to not know what neurolinguistics is, but it doesn't negate neurolinguistics' existence or the way political operatives USE it.
 
He sure was revved up! This is what the Dems need to do to get the vote out in November....passion around issues that really matter. Stree that the ballot box is the only place to protect the right to privacy.

Not surprised to hear you say you see it that way. On the other hand, I think we may have just heard the November war cry. Not just abortion, the right to privacy something one would think would appeal to Republicans but we have come to understand only the rights that the right thinks are right are rights!

No, but whenever rights come into conflict courts usually apply a least-harm doctrine. A loss of privacy may be harmful, but it does not stack up against a loss of life.

LOL The irony of that that statement is rich. The one term mistake is the one we are grateful he was was a blithering moron. Had he had a clue we would be still be suffering under him and America would be just a memory.
