Bernie Sanders releases 10 years of tax returns, showing how his 2016 presidential run vaulted him i

But he's more than happy to pay his taxes. The "don't ask me" part is pure baloney.

Sure, that's why when asked directly, he said "No." Sure, you go ahead and keep saying he really didn't SAY what he SAID when ASKED. Makes you look foolish.

I'm sure that he did oppose the tax cuts. At least, that is what he SAID.

However, when afforded the chance to demonstrate his opposition that he talked about, he chose to take his money and run. He said one thing and did something else.

That is what any other lying hypocrite would have done and what this particular lying hypocrite actually did.

If you want to call him a liar, quote him, the actual words he said, and demonstrate the "lie."

Thanks. I'll not wait up because I don't believe you can do it.

OK, so he's calling for changes in the law. I don't see him demanding that corporations or wealthy individuals ignore the law and voluntarily pay $millions or $billions more than is required.

You're demanding Bernie pay more than the law requires or he is a liar and a hypocrite. What I'm asking for is any quote of him asking or requesting or demanding others voluntarily pay more than the law requires.

So, try again! That's a bucket of fail so far.

The equivalent is in calling for cuts in "entitlement" spending, versus demanding seniors turn down SS benefits or Medicare benefits they're entitled to under the current law. If a politician doesn't call for seniors to voluntarily not cash their SS checks or use Medicare when they get heart surgery, it's not a "lie" or "hypocrisy" if that politician also cashes their SS or retirement checks from serving in Congress.

I didn't vote for trump, so I didn't vote for revenge politics. If you voted for trump, then you have voted for revenge and thus have no scruples.

I don't care if you're ashamed for wanting revenge. I simply want to point out the truth about folks like you, and could not care less about how you feel about it.

Good for you...

Mr. I have a need to tell Roseann that> I <didn't vote for Trump to show off my superior scruples and my lack of revenge voting + a need to tell Roseann once again that she has no scruples and that she is guilty of revenge voting based on my mere assumption without actually having any knowledge how Roseann actually voted.

You are not telling me something I didn't already know based on reading your posts.

Besides, I could care less how you feel about it or what you think of me.

And, you repeating it over and over again will be useless....But, because I believe you have the freedom of speech just like me... go for it!

Just for the fun of it... perhaps you can prove your truth that I am one of the folks that actually voted for Trump.

Roseann:)

You folks are defeated by ignoring the ignorant moron you elected and destroying your regressive, idiotic, and abusive policy stances. You're a regressive if you vote for trump. Not a conservative.

I have no tolerance to be lectured at by someone who votes for a return to the 50's.

Good riddance.

Mr. Scruples can't actually prove Roseann is one of the folks who voted for Trump. :spin: post.

Awwww I'm gonna miss your heartfelt posts.

Oops... Since you love to lecture others about their scruples...I assumed you would tolerate being lectured via my free speech right being equal to your right to free speech.

FYI... I was born in the year "52". I was 7 years old in "59". So, yes the 50's were great for me I began my wonderful life in the 50's, grew up in a loving home with wonderful parents.

But... I'm enjoying living in the here and now and only look back in time to remember my wonderful beginnings.

P.S. Maybe, you should stop assuming you know me because you are batting zero and 3 strikes your out!

Roseann:)

Um, someone needs to tell CNN that earning $2.79 million over the course of several years, or $500k and change in 2018, doesn't put Bernie in the category of the "super-rich." Not even close.

Your replies are completely worthless. What's your point in spewing diversionary BS?

You feel that my replies are pointless.

You also demonstrate that you do not understand the meanings of many of the words that I employ in my posts.

This must be very frustrating for you if you're intelligent enough to grasp your shortcoming.

I apologize for not using words you understand.

Blah blah blah. Bunch of hot air anecdotes and nonsense. I didn't block you, I am simply not engaging you in this conversation any longer.

The 50's was not great. We will never return to it. Keep your regressive nonsense out of politics.

I'm not going to continue to educate you about what a hypocrite is. You can just go stare at a mirror or a photo of Trump.

Sanders policy positions demolish your nonsensical, right wing echo chamber smear.

Childish.

I'm not demanding anything.

I'm only pointing out that the lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders, is a lying hypocrite that says people who make as much as he does should pay more than he does.

When given the chance to actually do what he recommends, he takes the money and runs away without paying the amount he says is right to pay.

I don't care if he pays it or not. I don't care if he talks about it or not.

I only point out that a guy who says one thing and does something else, as did the lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders, then that lying hypocrite is a lying hypocrite.

This is like saying that a car that is a Ford Fusion is a Ford Fusion. It is what it is.

I don't even understand why you seem to be so upset about this.

You are perhaps the worst analogy maker on the planet.

IF the person demanding cuts in any particular form of spending also took the money that was spent, that person would also be a hypocrite.

This would be due to the same definition of the "hypocrite" that applies to the lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders.

Your example is that one person demanded something and a different person did not do something he never talked about. NO CONNECTION BETWEEN THE DEMANDER THAD THE REFUSER.

The lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders, demanded the higher payment from a group that he defined and then he joined that group calling it "their (and now his) fair share" and he refused to pay his "fair share" that he defined.

That is why the lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders, is a lying hypocrite.

Language is a marvelous thing.

Language involves the use of sounds that are recognized to convey particular and very narrowly defined ideas to those who understand the language.

These sounds may be represented on a page or screen and the representations convey the same meanings as the verbalized sounds.

The word "hypocrite" is one of these sounds that has a very particular meaning.

This meaning happens to describe perfectly the politician named Bernie Sanders and various other politicians as well.

When the lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders, makes the statement he makes and then takes the actions he takes, he demonstrates that he is a lying hypocrite.

When a person like you witnesses him doing exactly what he is doing and then denies that he's doing exactly what he's doing, I find it to be confusing.

Why are you denying that the lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders, is a lying hypocrite when he has so clearly demonstrated that he is a lying hypocrite?

If sanders changed his opinion about taxing millionaires at a higher rate once he became a millionaire, you'd have a point. You don't, though. You insist a guy who benefited from Trump's tax plan, who put his vote on record and voted AGAINST a bill that would benefit him, is a hypocrite.

You make no sense.

OK, you've still not found a quote of Bernie demanding anyone voluntarily pay more in taxes than is owed.

It's a neat trick. Misrepresent what he demands, hold him to a standard he's not applying to anyone else, and call him not only a hypocrite but a liar, based on a standard you're dishonestly demanding of him but that he's demanding of no one else!

It's a simple request - quote him demanding Charles Koch voluntarily pay an extra $100 million or $billion over what the law requires.

If, you actually wanted a "good riddance" to the conversation we were engaged in then you would have simply posted the underlined section of your post.

Perhaps, you should have ignored your need for continuing to engage me in that conversation.

Please NOTE: The bold sections in your post.

The bold sections of your post are clearly a continuance of the conversation we were in engaged in and you clearly continued that conversation.

In what way is Trump demonstrating hypocritic behavior?

You make no sense.

You have no understanding of what defines a person as a hypocrite. Let me help you:

Hypocrite | Definition of Hypocrite by Merriam-Webster

All you need do is check the ACTIONS of any person as the depart from the stated WORDS of any person.

The lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders demonstrates this perfectly as he says one thing and does the opposite.

The fact that the SAYS one thing and then SAYS something else has nothing at all to do with him being a hypocrite. This only brands him as a liar.

The combination of the two make him a lying hypocrite.

He said that millionaires need to pay their fair share and that their fair share is more than whatever it is they are currently paying.

He said this before the Trump Tax cuts took effect.

He is allowed to pay more than is legally required which is FAR LESS than he said that people who are as rich as he has become should pay.

See what he did there? He said one thing and did something else. In truth, he said that it is the right thing to do. He has chosen to not do it.

This is why the lying hypocrite, Bernie Sanders, is a lying hypocrite.

He also has white hair. He's also an aging Socialist. He also has an accent that indicates he's from the Eastern US.

Are you also going to deny these obvious qualities that define him?

It's a simple request - quote him demanding Charles Koch voluntarily pay an extra $100 million or $billion over what the law requires.

Who said anything about Charles Koch? Bernie can say anything about Koch and this will never impact Bernie's status as a lying hypocrite. Maybe as a liar...

Bernie's class envy, divisionist rhetoric demands that he pay more than he pays. His actions demand that you ignore his words.

Ignoring his words seems like a pretty wise course of action, so, there's that...

Sanders: Wealthy People, Including Me, 'Should Start Paying Their Fair Share' - 'I Pay the Taxes That I Owe' | Breitbart
<snip>
During a town hall on the Fox News Channel on Monday, Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said that he pays the taxes he owes, and “whether it’s me or you or anybody else, I think wealthy people and large corporations that are making billions of profits should start paying their fair share of taxes.

Sanders said that he voted against Trump’s tax bill, “and I happen to believe that a tax bill written and pushed by Trump, who told the American people that that tax bill, some of you may recall, would not benefit the wealthy, do you remember that? … 83% of the benefits went to the top 1%. So, I think that’s a bad idea, and in my view, people…whether it’s me or you or anybody else, I think wealthy people and large corporations that are making billions of profits should start paying their fair share of taxes.”

What is the hypocrisy that you write? Sanders wants upper income taxes to rise even if that means he pays higher taxes. That’s not hypocrisy.

claiming that he can voluntarily pay more is a sham argument. Sanders can relinquish all of his money to the Treasury and it won’t change the government’s finances. The only way it does matter is if taxes rose.

Even before the trump tax cut, upper income taxes were too low.

In what way is Trump demonstrating hypocritic behavior?

Trump claims to be pro worker and then signs into law a tax package that shellacks workers, reduces any miniscule benefit they get over time, and yet hands billions to top earners.

Trump raged about being pro worker, and then gives GM massive contracts despite them continuing to outsource production.

POLICY matters.

What trump SAYS does not.
