Biden just engrossed, Mayor Pete's and Bloomberg's entire political operations. They are full of younger, smarter, and moderate democrats who realize that Bernie has no plans to get things done. Hence, why they didn't and aren't joining his campaign. Do you see expose's about how terrible it was to work for Bloomberg or Mayor Pete and huge swaths of them going over to Bernie's campaign? Nope. Not a one!! And I'm rather surprised but happy about that. Plus I'd imagine they are true democrats who don't want to see the party burn to the ground. These are new people to politics (and I assume some Clinton people) who Bernie failed to reach because he was too radical already and hence they chose to work on other campaigns and not his. This is what I've been telling Bernie supporters this entire year. There were 20 other people in the race at one point and each of them had political organizations that did not fit your viewpoints, whatsoever! Democrats are well aware of who Bernie is, he just never changed his messaging to reach the majority of them.
The fact that Mayor Pete and Bloomberg each got 20-30% of democrats to vote for them in various states, means that Bernie made no inroads into his support in the last 4 years. He didn't build up his base and as he begins this latest line of ad attacks and frankly stealing Biden's ideas (which he started before March btw) will go down in flames. Bloomberg spent millions on a similar strategy and while he didn't attack Joe, he is now backing him and already made attack ads against Bernie. Clinton didn't seem to attack Bernie or Trump hard enough, Biden already has the people who will!
There have been HUGE calls to unite around Joe Biden so we can stick to attacking Trump. While currently, Sanders does have some path to the nomination, the polls do not look kind for his future. It won't be long before Sanders drops like a rock. I'm guessing teens by the time he drops out. Which could be sooner rather than later.
Bernie's the only viable candidate that the dark money behind both parties fear. That's his appeal. Bloomberg, Pete, and Joe all represent a stewardship of the power structure that produced Donald Trump. Is that what you're all about? Ushering in the next Donald Trump?
You just compared Pete Buttigieg and Biden to Donald Trump. If you don't see that as a false equivalency, its because you are not a Democrat and are no where close to being one. the ideological disparity is a cavern. There is a United Socialist Party and a Green Party that also lumps the Democrats and Republicans together and they definitely will see almost no substantial difference between Trump and Pete or Joe.Bernie's the only viable candidate that the dark money behind both parties fear. The fix is in. Biden is going to get the nomination, the democrat leadership want it so. Biden will be a puppet, he can't even remember the address for the White House, how is he going to run anything.
afraid so.
Still, Sanders competitive in Missouri in this 2 horse race:
RealClearPolitics - Election 2020 - Missouri Democratic Primary
Florida is gone. He's going to lose there by 30+ points and that will be the nail in his coffin, since I don't see any "Florida"'s out there for Sanders in the future.
If Bernie is serious about wanting to be the nominee he needs to go all out after Biden, not Trump but Biden. Biden is the enemy right now and if he can't beat Biden he doesn't have to worry about Trump. Biden is hugely vulnerable, his gaffes and his cognitive question marks are glaring if Bernie wants to win. If he doesn't go after him then he is just hoping Biden screws up on his on. Democrats will be covering for sleepy Joe. He is probably reading through the debate questions now.

You misunderstood me. I meant that they are guardians of the power structure that produced Donald Trump. Essentially grotesque neoliberal economics. If you double down on that, in 2024 you're going to get a younger and less buffoonish Trump who will be able to play all the same cards as Trump did.
Any difference between the Democrats and the Republicans has always been superficial at best. And don't worry, if Bernie is now the 2020 nominee for the Democrats, the DNC will forever lose both Millenials and Generation Z voters.
You are claiming that Biden is the champion for Millenials and GZ voters?
Bernie's the only viable candidate...
Bernie is not a viable candidate. His comments about Castro recently means Bernie cannot win Florida... he just THREW that opportunity away just because he can't/WON'T stop his mouth from spouting his ideology.
Now in order for Bernie to win (if he is nominated) he has to win back ALL of these States: Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania to make up for Florida. So even if he doesn't win back Wisconsin, then Bernie will need all of Maine's 4 electoral votes (2016 Maine split 50/50) and then all that gets is 268 to 270 (a win for Trump) unless Bernie swings back West Virginia--- which I don't think will happen with is New Green Deal baloney.
Throwing away Florida makes the path very hard for Bernie. So unless he thinks he could turn Texas blue--- he really screwed the pooch with his pro Castro comments.
Now Biden could be competitive in Florida, and besides, those rust belt states Hillary lost are much easier for Biden to win back than Bernie. How stupid of him to toss aside 29 electoral votes like they don't matter. Castro has been dead for years, why would that fool even talk about Castro?
Total ideologue he is.
He made no pro-Castro comments. He complimented Cuban literacy programs and its hilarious to watch people get the vapours over it.
Of course that is a pro Castro comment. The suggestion is that without Castro there was no other way to improve literacy in Cuba. Besides, anyone with half a brain realizes that the Castro literacy program was in actuality a re-education/indoctrination program anyway. Unless you think those students were being allowed to read Tocqueville, Winston Churchill, and the Anti-Federalist Papers, then you are full of horse feathers.
By all means just make some **** up to prove your point, I don't mind one bit.
Bernie is not ready for what's coming
I'd sure as hell check. Compliments from the enemy are often the most sincere. If Bernie said trump had some good education polices. Would you still be saying the same?
After 1996, Bob Dole made Viagra commercials. Elizabeth Dole said it changed her life, so there is hope in Bernie's future. The establishment handing the nomination to a legacy candidate? I'm sure that he's well aware of what's going on.
