Immigrants are fine. The problem is illegal aliens. If we were at war and needed soldiers I would be fine with awarding citizenship to a foreign national that wanted to serve our country.Plenty of US soldiers were immigrants who saddled-up with the government promise of citizenship.
So it's essentially like screaming children. The way to deal with in a spoiled child is absolutely never give them what they scream for.Probably because the know it annoys the hell out of some people they are trying to annoy....
That's actually how my father in law gained citizenship. He served in the US Army in the Pacific during WWII.Immigrants are fine. The problem is illegal aliens. If we were at war and needed soldiers I would be fine with awarding citizenship to a foreign national that wanted to serve our country.
The only people who have actual information are not a source that you would accept. Can you actually provide evidence of your first contention?
The LAPD arrests people for charges related to the rioting. They're not arresting anyone on immigration charges. The LAPD's press release this morning noted 42 arrests with no information whatsoever on previous criminal activity so I'm guessing your information is incorrect.
The LAPD, as an agency of a "sanctuary city," refused to act in the early stages of the rioting. And so what. The LAPD is
more than capable of dealing with a protest.
The authority to activate the National Guard isn't limited to protecting federal facilities. Since the LAPD came into action, the Guard is protecting federal facilities and the LAPD is taking the brunt of riot action. As to your second contention strangely Trump's EO says nothing about protecting federal facilities
because the LAPD won't. In fact most federal facilities have their own - non military - security.
To have enlisted in the military, they must have been here legally.Plenty of US soldiers were immigrants who saddled-up with the government promise of citizenship.
Frankly, I don't think the people doing that are that smart.Probably because the know it annoys the hell out of some people they are trying to annoy....
I appreciate what your father-in-law did for our country. That's actually how my father in law gained citizenship. He served in the US Army in the Pacific during WWII.
Let me make sure I understand. People have given everything to go to a place that they believe is brutal, and support the culture of the place that they resist being in. Is that right?
Frankly, I don't think the people doing that are that smart.
People can use symbols to show support for a culture.
I believe Mexico has a longer history in California than the US does.
Mexico is not a culture it's a nation. Thus, there are strong cultural ties to Mexico there.
Yes. And ???I believe Mexico has a longer history in California than the US does.
And yet people leave there in their millions, leaving that culture to come here. Are these the same people that are burning flags and attacking the police in the streets of L.A.?Thus, there are strong cultural ties to Mexico there.
The US is the one who turned those countries into “basket cases” in the first place. If people are indicating that they intend to make America's culture into Mexico's culture, to me, that significantly strengthens the argument for mass deportations.
My willingness to take on the huddled masses willing to assimilate and yearning to breathe free is far greater than my tolerance for those who want to turn us into another central American partial-basket case.
Who said that was happening? If people are indicating that they intend to make America's culture into Mexico's culture, to me, that significantly strengthens the argument for mass deportations.
Sounds hyperbolic to me but you do you.My willingness to take on the huddled masses willing to assimilate and yearning to breathe free is far greater than my tolerance for those who want to turn us into another central American partial-basket case.
I don't buy into this us supremacy narrative. The existence of the US doesn't hurt places like Mexico. It may make Mexico look bad by comparison because of the corruption of the governmentThe US is the one who turned those countries into “basket cases” in the first place.
Well if you're burning the American flag and waving the Mexican flag you would be saying exactly that.Who said that was happening?
Yeah I believe it is hyperbolic but I'm not the one burning flags and waving other flags.Sounds hyperbolic to me but you do you.
If people are indicating that they intend to make America's culture into Mexico's culture, to me, that significantly strengthens the argument for mass deportations.
Without the US backing the “perfect dictatorship” of the PRI for decades corruption in Mexico would not be anywhere near as powerful as it is.I don't buy into this us supremacy narrative. The existence of the US doesn't hurt places like Mexico. It may make Mexico look bad by comparison because of the corruption of the government
Actually there is/was a program that enlists immigrants with language and medical skills, who lack a green card, and are promised eventual citizenship. To have enlisted in the military, they must have been here legally.
Oh, so do you have a theory as to why the "stupid" protestors would do that?Frankly, I don't think the people doing that are that smart.
Why would there be a special system immigrants are people who are legally here. If they like a green card they're not immigrants. That would be illegal aliens are military should not be staffed with people that have a contempt for our laws.Actually there is/was a program that enlists immigrants with language and medical skills, who lack a green card, and are promised eventual citizenship.
Attention. Nobody listens until you do crap like this.Oh, so do you have a theory as to why the "stupid" protestors would do that?
