The first one is awesome.Sorry for prejudging but its gonna suck.

Hopefully the movie will be just as good as the first one.Sometimes sequels do not do as as good for example all the sequels to The Crow were box office flops.

It could not possibly compare to the first one. Kiefer Sutherland was just... holy **** awesome.

Is that Corey f'n Feldman? Am I the only one who thought he was dead?

I thought he was the new Michael Jackson.

I couldn't imagine anybody else playing the role of David... He helped that movie just ooze cool and was my favorite character in the whole movie...

Damn, I was a nerd over that movie... I owned the movie poster. I own the CD version of the soundtrack and I had owned the tape. I own the DVD of the movie and had owned the VHS.

I couldn't imagine it comparing to the first one, but I'm still curious to see it. I'm a vampire movie geek...

I never saw the original. Is it like Interview with the Vampire?

Oh hell no, it's much cooler... the Grandfather and his quotes are enough to make it better than Interview... Interview is set in New Orleans & Europe and has that New Orleans feel. The Lost Boys is about the beach, motorcycles, rock & roll....

Seriously, you need to go rent it this weekend... I'd lend you my DVD if we were closer.

ROFL

I had a poster of Keifer on my wall (I had the hots for him anyway), I had the soundtrack memorized (and still listen to it), I had the VHS and the DVD now. ;)

I could probably recite the movie line by line as it's playing.

I've always had a thing for sexy vampires.

YES!! That is gonna rock!

I'm actually pretty excited about the sequel. I'm a sucker for even horribly made horror films. I loved the first one. Apparently Gerard McMann (the guy that did "Cry Little Sister" for the first one) is coming back to do some new songs for the soundtrack, which is also exciting. Another interesting thing is that some insider person on the imdb board for the new lost boys film posted these pictures:

It looks like Sam (Corey Haim) and Alan Frog (Jamison Newlander) are going to be in the film after all and get turned into vampires at some point.

I have to say that The Lost Boys is one of my favorite all-time movies. I don't list it as one of the greatest of all-time, but definitely in my top 10 as far as favorites go. Hollywood puts out so much crap, that I am expecting this one to totally suck. Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but it will never be able to top the original as far as I am concerned - I just can't see that with a totally different cast.

As far as the original, I too owned it on VHS, now own it on DVD, had the soundtrack, lost it, downloaded it and to this day I still believe it is the best movie soundtrack of all-time. There are so many cool songs on it that fit very well into the movie.

I'll probably see it, but on DVD. IMO, there are so few movies that are worth going to the theater to see. The last 2 movies I went to see were Star Wars Episode III and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King if that tells you how long it's been. Hollywood has just ruined movies period. I fully expect this movie to blow, just like most of them do nowadays, but I'll hope that I am pleasantly surprised when I do see it.

On a side note: did they really put Corey Feldman in the movie? He must be a producer or something. And what of Jason Patric? The guys career went absolutely nowhere and he was great in the original. But I think all of us that loved the original can say that Kiefer stole the show.

Oh hellz yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG... I watched this on HBO a couple weeks ago. It was horrible, ick, ick bad.

Nothing could ever compare to the original.
