Bush has consistantly opposed all environmental regulation that would prevent the immediate and magical discoveries of alternative fuels, which forces the country to continue to use the same fossil fuels used for over a century...These fossil fuels have to be mined in a physical and dangerous manner, which, although has been done for quite awhile, is ALSO Bush's fault I might add...

You obviously do not genuinely think that there is any real way that a mine explosion could be reported to become Bush's fault - you are simply using this topic to be inflammatory and to press the idea of a liberal media. If you want to discuss your perception of a liberal media, make a topic around it - don't make nonsensical statements such as this.

Conflict said:I will only hold him to be accountable for his actions. Unless it is proven to me that Bush did anything to "undermine" this explosion. However... this thread has become a sardonic virtue in mocking the legitimate concerns some people may have with the Bush Administration.
I almost forgot... Bush does no wrong. By god, how could he! He's a fricking saint.
(insert rhetoric evil laughter here)

Engimo said:If you think this will actually happen, you have a very skewed sense of reality.
Trajan Octavian Titus said:We called it for Katrina look what happened, this is politics there's no such thing as paranoia.
Engimo said:Except there was a legitimate problem with how Bush handled Katrina, there is really nothing that could be done on a federal level to assist in a small-scale mine cave in that affects a few dozen people (at most). There's really nothing for Bush to do here. There is no way you could really think that there will be a genuine attempt to pass off a mine explosion as Bush's fault.
Lefty said:This is ridiculous. The critisim on Katrina was how Bush and the federal government handled the disaster. There is no way anyone can expect to actually blame a natural occurance on the president. It was how he handled it, how so many things went wrong and how incompetant the government's response seemed to be.
Oh and I like how you think it's stupid to blame Katrina on Bush, but so easily blame Katrina on the local and state officals. But I realize that arguing this with you would be as pointless as this post is.
Trajan Octavian Titus said:I'm not going to get in to Katrina but anyone versed in the inner workings of state politics would realize who is to blame for the failings on how the disaster was handled, however, as per the pointless nature of my post just wait a week and you'll be eating your words.

Remember Kids, there was no cronyism involved and no persons happened to step down over this matter!

Lefty said:Yeah okay, you sound like someone who is well informed. I can't believe you are serious about this. I mean really... this is so stupid! And as previously mentioned... pointless. And if by some slim chance anyone ever does say that I know you will be the only person that listens to them. I'm done here.
Trajan Octavian Titus said:dude you'll be on the blame Bush bandwaggon as soon as they figure out a good enough reason to pin it on him.
Lefty said:Don't try to tell me what I'll believe, you don't know me well enough to presume things like this, and to make this accusation is absurd. I'm done with this thread.
Since the obvious purpose of this thread is to troll, I think I will take a bite.Trajan Octavian Titus said:Since we all know that anything and everything that goes wrong in this country (or the world for that matter, tsunami anyone?) is Bush's fault, I'm willing to bet that the liberal media spin pins this one on Bush by the end of the week, any takers?
danarhea said:Since the obvious purpose of this thread is to troll, I think I will take a bite.
Is this a cocaine mine? Is it an alcohol mine? Is it a prescription downer mine?
No it isnt.
Therefore, Bush doesnt care about the mine.
Conclusion: The mine explosion is not Bush's fault.
Trajan Octavian Titus said:I told you people but you didn't believe me now it's official Bush is to blame for the mine disaster:
Lawmakers Call For Immediate Congressional Hearings into Mine Safety to Help Prevent Another Tragedy
Say Congress Has Abdicated its Oversight Responsibilities on Worker Safety Issues, While Bush Administration has Filled Worker Safety Agencies with Industry Insiders
Since Mr. Lauriski resigned his position in November 2004, the agency has been operating under an acting administrator. The President did not nominate a replacement for Mr. Lauriski until September 2005. That replacement has yet to take his seat.
With mining company officials at the helm of MSHA, the agency’s focus has clearly shifted away from protecting miners. A 2005 report by the AFL-CIO found that “at MSHA, 17 standards to improve safety and health for miners have been withdrawn since President Bush took office, including the Air Quality, Chemical Substances and Respiratory standards…For the most part at MSHA, those standards that have been proposed during the Bush Administration favor industry by moving to roll back existing protections. There are no pending standards to protect miners from hazards on their job.”
