    Great news!

    I've been working my butt off trying to keep up with paying off some bills I've accumulated and shouldn't have. That is what life has been for me lately, just work, eat, sleep. I was out for a week a while back, and it really put me behind. :shrug:

    Yup, that is so true. I get angry sometimes too. A lot of times I will just log off or use avoidance tactics. Try to remember also that those jerks are NOT worth getting upset over. THAT is what they want because misery loves company.

    Thanks! I feel the same about you. :) I also admire your ability to keep your cool. It must not be easy with some of the things you have to put up with, but you seem to have a lot of inner strength.

    Ah, OK, cool. :) When you say things are happening too slowly do you mean something personal like the transitioning process or something else like society's views?

    Just read your profile and saw the bit about you recently coming out to your parents. I wanted to say congrats and that I hope it is working out well for you. I know what it is like to come out (gay), but the level of ignorance surrounding gender identity has been and still is much higher than that concerning sexual orientation, so I can only imagine the difficulty you face.     In that case I'm going for 0311, but depend on how things pan out I may even decided to go MARSOC but that's way too far into the future for me to think about at the moment.

    definitely infantry, although from what I have read and researched if you go infantry you can only choose a field (03) not necessarily a specific MOS. I don't know that for sure though, i'm going to see if I can try to get a specific MOS in writing in my contract.

    I'm 22 right now, and the Marine Corps. Although by the time I actually get shipped off to boot camp I may be 23 or 24.

    I'm gonna take about a year off and just work a regular wage-earning job, then I plan on joining the military. Hopefully I will be able to finish my degree sometime after that, but I'm really not worrying about that right now.
