Zelenskiy to Biden: give us clear 'yes' or 'no' on Ukraine NATO path

yes, all oriental despots are in love with the gold

Yes, the emperor's love of gold is well documented, as is his desire to unite and rule over all of humanity!

Did you know that he originally had twenty top agents, but two of them were lost and then nine of them went to the other side?

Also he had at least three super solder projects...

....from Russian state-owned news channel RT, is a reassuring sign that deadly robots are still at best a thing of the future.

Titled “Military cyborg biker presented to Putin,” the video shows a robotic skeleton wearing what appears to be a knock-off Daft Punk helmet driving a four-wheeler slowly around a small track as Russian president Vladimir Putin looks on. Putin eventually nods with approval, but his disappointment is visible in every other part of his expression. Whatever horrors military robots may bring to future wars, they won’t come from this cyborg biker. It isn’t even riding a hover cycle.

So Muscovites just made a steel mannequin and stuck it in a RC quadbike LOL, I was laughing at this the whole time. From its slow trek around the course to the burning whatever-it-was in the background, this is pure dry comedy gold.

These men of iron seem scary indeed!

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday he welcomed a NATO statement confirming Ukraine's eventual entry into the military alliance.

Zelenskyy's administration has urged NATO to speed up Ukraine's entry through a Membership Action Plan (MAP). Earlier Monday he told Reuters that he wanted a clear "yes" or "no" from United States President Joe Biden on giving Ukraine such a plan.

"NATO leaders confirmed that (Ukraine) will become a member of the Alliance and the MAP is an integral part of the membership process," Zelenskyy wrote on Twitter."

As it turns out, it was actually nothing more than a deceptively worded reiteration of the fact that Ukraine will be allowed to join NATO.....at some point in the future.

And not, in fact, an immediate admission.

So your fantasies about an American Barbarossa have flopped on their faces yet again.

Juchi Moscow Ulus?

Why remain ignorant of history?

Russia defeated the Ulus of Juchi.

one more putin´s advocate , dont worry about NATO/Ukraine. say hello to mr Prigozhin we wait him in the Hague
Muscovy lacks the everything from Renaissance to Modern technologies and GDP

More accusation by Litwin... Any that disagrees with Litwin is a "Muscovite" or likes Putin, or any of a number of silly things.

And RUSSIA does not lack in Modern Technologies.

Sorry, that’s circular reasoning or better a Catch 22 (You can get out of the army if you are crazy but claiming that you are crazy proves you are sane.)

The Ukraine needs NATO protection precisely because Russia is occupying their territory.
Denying admission of the invaded country because an invader is militarily occupying territory, encourages invasion and unduly enriches the invader.

That may be, but the geopolitics are unmistakable.

The European powers have been reluctant to expand NATO much further into Eastern Europe for fear of the Russians. This has been true for twenty years.

However, the threat that a strong US commitment and a President who won’t cowtow to Moscow, makes the idea of Ukraine in NATO into a powerful political weapon. One which strikes fear and resentment in the heart of Russophiles like Putin.

Calling the leader of Russia a “Russophile” is a weird attack.

And what happens when Ukraine immediately tries to get NATO to invade the Crimea for them?

We went to war to defend Poland, half of which was donated to the USSR after WW2, and which is now subsumed into Ukraine. Was that crazy?
Because the history of these very territories is not quite simple.
Half of these territories are not only part of Ukraine today, but also of Belarus.
As it was before 1920, after which the USSR had to give up these territories ...
Poland's claims to these territories are very weak.

It's not in the news, it might be wishful thinking.

It's too big a news item for it not to be in the news.

.

It’s a diplomatic club Biden can hit Putin over the head with.

The stakes are high for both Biden and Putin. Biden runs the risk of dithering by most of the EU countries in the east. Putin runs the risk of exposing how weak Russia really is if he has to back down.
Yup. No need to do all of this super publicly. Bringing in Ukraine into NATO would be public but the rest can be done more privately so that napaolean complex of putin has a way to save face.

Very breaking news. Will post news link when it hits the MSM.

I'll celebrate like crazy if this comes true, but I can find no confirmation of it.

So how far back in history do you want to go? Perhaps Britain should cede power back to Rome considering we were under Roman rule for 400 years.

What are you talking about?
Until 1920, these were the territories of the Russian Empire. After that, they went to Poland and Lithuania for 19 years, where on the eve of the Second World War, the USSR returned these territories.
The Poles have just as much right to these lands as Rome has to Britain.

And in that caae the indigenous native Americans have more right to North America than European colonists. Is that right?

so you agree that ussr was just another name for Muscovite ulus? or you try to say that Kobyla´s ulus was still around in 20s?

I doubt that would happen. NATO's remit states that if a member nation comes under attack the other member states are under treaty obligation to come to their aid. At the time of Russia's intervention Ukraine was not a member state-but I'm unsure as to whether NATO can act retroactively.

There’s simply no reason to take the chance of getting drawn into a shooting war with a nuclear power over a single peninsula. That’s why the “disputed territory keeps you out” rule is so smart.

This thread has nothing to do with Trump. Can you stop bringing his name into every thread? We get it. You miss him. But you should focus on what's being discussed. It's Ukraine, not the fat man who lost the election.
You do realize he wasn't the first one to bring Trump up in this thread right. Wonder why you didn't mind when others brought him up.
