Second, people are not going to take the Twitter app off their iPhone if they want to use Twitter.

Third, it's just an inconvenience so that people that do want to pay have to find a computer to sign up. Then use their iPhone normally.

i'm not sure what it accomplishes though. how many people are gonna trade in their iPhone for an Android just to save $3/month for a blue checkmark (that's fake to start with)?
