Suppose you can steal a good amount of money from a charity organization. It is not a victim-less crime. It is not like stealing from US Defense fund which uselessly wastes hundreds of billions.

But you really need the money.

I wouldn't steal from a charity. I'd inquire about a job.
 
I wouldn't be able to call myself a libertarian if I got into a habit of stealing, regardless of whether I get caught or not. That's unnecessary force being initiated on another human being.

Granted libertarianism is a political ideology, I like to take certain aspects of it and incorporate it into my morality.

I'm not law-abiding- I ignore laws I don't agree with when I can get away with it. I wouldn't steal because I know it's wrong.
 
I'm the person who would steal from anyone. I voted as such. I think if this weren't a public poll the results would be different.
 
What defines character is what you do when no one is looking, no I would not steal from someone.

You left out the most important fact- criteria.
Next, why a charity?
Next most stealing- called shrinkage by many corporations is by employees- approx 70 %.
And by shrinkage I am not referring to this.

billionaires often have access to really talented cleaners too!
 
I would have no problem stealing from someone if that person obtained their money illegally/unethically. I can certainly think of some dictators and terrorist organizations that I would have zero qualms with bleeding dry or simply sneaking a couple bucks.
 
I would steal from the Federal Reserve in a heartbeat (if I was positive I would get away with it). Even if I could not keep any of the money (just give it to charities), I would steal every penny they had.

But other then stealing from criminals, I would not steal from anyone else...even billionaire's or major corporations or the government (technically, imo, the Fed is not part of the government).

And stealing from charities? Might as well kill myself if I am doing that.

Definitely, US Defense fund is wasting hundreds of billions dollars for no real purpose.
 
I routinely scan through honeycrisp apples as gala's at Walmart self checkout and have lost zero sleep over it.

I would also have no qualms stealing from the church of scientology and donating it to cancer research or something.
