Would You Give up your Semi-Auto gun if it would save one life?

So you understand the goal, it’s to stop the Steven Paddock’s(Vegas killer). In stopping him, you stop the Nick Cruz, and the long list of other killers!

The AR actually makes a great self defense gun. It's stable and easy to aim and it penetrates less walls than pistol calibers. As for reliquishing my furearms, why? What would it do? I'm not going on a shooting spree anytime soon. Also as a side note, 60% of mass shootings are done with pistols, not rifles.

Please consider adding to that list anti depressants being doled out to our kids to keep them "calm and sedated"....

So when the cops show up to an active shooter incident with their AR-15s they are acting offensively? Does that mean that if the cops showed up with Kentucky Long Rifles they be acting defensively?

It was a little tongue and check but I agree looking at stopping the overmedication of kids would go a long way

Hmmm...so let’s say the govt did go tyrannical and took the military with it. How many seconds do you think you would live, with your firearm(s) in your hands, against an Apache Gunship?

A car may have not killed 20 or 50 people at one time but it does cause around 1.3 million deaths a year. The deaths from mass shootings are crumbs compared to the number of deaths from auto accidents. Heck the deaths from homicides,firearm accidents and suicides with the use of firearms are still crumbs compared to the number of deaths from auto accidents. Yet we have more guns than we do passenger cars in this country. I would say peanuts ,but peanuts are bigger than crumbs.

The advantages of trucks far outweigh the negatives. The negatives of guns far outweigh the positives.

It depends on whose life we are talking about. If being unarmed will save the life of someone who is trying to kill me then no, I'm not giving up my guns. In fact, from my standpoint that's the only life that would be saved, and it's the same for 99.999% of law abiding gun owners.

The fact that at the very least there are 50,000 cases per year of people defending themselves successfully with firearms is outwieghed by a couple hundred mass shootings?

I will live longer then you.

The thing your missing is, it's not just me, they will have to kill millions of us. If you somehow don't think we will get to an armory and make use of weapons stored, if you somehow think that some members of the armed services won't be on our side (remember that oath they took), you are sadly mistaken.
