Why So Many Americans Despise Obamacare--- Bill O'Reilly

I think the dirty back room deals will be pushed front and center for the next 8 months. No one has to guess at those dirty deals - they know they happened and the excuse of "that's the way it's always been" is diametrically opposed to "HOPE" and "CHANGE" which elected Obama. It's a loser and the avoidance by Democrats to discuss those dirty deals and try to be all sunshine and light about pre-existing conditions, tweeners staying on mommy & daddy's health insurance will not cut it. The cons far outweight the pro's on this bill which is why it should have been scrapped and the "redo" button pushed. Since that didn't happen... the chickens are on the way and they want to roost.

But...but that's the Chicago thug style politics Obama is used to. He probably has no idea the public understands what he's doing behind closed doors. Either that, or he doesn't care. After all, 'the ends justify the means' according to Marxists who excel in revolutionary tactics.

You know this is how our government has worked for, like, ever, right?

Oh ****, wrong door. I thought it said "Why So Many Americans Despise Bill O'Reilly" :3oops:

See it is when O'Reilly does things like this that make me respect him. He shares his point of view respectfully and doesn't go overboard with hyperbole and is fairly moderate. But then he goes and is a total ass in an interview and ruins it. Way to go O'Reilly.

So you admit "Hope and Change" was bull****, good on you.

What I mean is that "backroom deals" is how congress works for 90% of the bill making process. Committees, meetings, etc. It's not really hidden, because nobody gives a crap enough to hear about it.

And yes. On most issues Obama has been Bush III. Hardly a marxist.

Not always. Only when unpopular legislation is being pushed.

However, Obamacare is really a very clever piece of work. Everything about it shows a plan to steadily put every facet of healthcare under the federal government. Not immediately, but one piece at a time over a series of years.

Is something being done at a federal level inherently bad?

Mr O'Reilly accurately describes my thoughts and feelings about Obamacare

Talking Points: 3/22 - Video - FoxNews.com

I get such a kick out of the righties who pretend that they, and they alone "speak for the people" We the People spoke loud and clear, for ourselves, November 4, 2008. Republicans lost then, just like Republicans lost again on this bill.

And should the Republicans actually follow through with the folly of running for office this year, under the banner of "repeal the bill," as promised, they will again get a thumping. You heard it here first.

Using bribes and sleazy back room deals to pass legislation of this magnitude, legislation that the majority of the American people are against, is the ultimate in betrayal. The democrats have abused their power by putting a partisan political agenda ahead of the people they are supposed to be serving, and they will pay the price for their actions come election time.

Literally every major bill in history has been done this way and if you believe otherwise you're nuts.

edit: And if you want some lessons in partisan tactics you should pay more attention to the GOP these days. You know there were 200 Republican amendments in this bill, right?

And yet not a single republican voted for it. So what do you think that means? I would say one of two things:

1. No matter what the dems did, the repubs were not on board with this idea of healthcare reform so nothing would have helped.

2. The despise Obama and his cronies buying votes and so they stood on principle with their votes.

3. They have more interest in political gain than governing.
