I understand why mothers tell their daughters to be carefull because you don't want an unwanted pregnincy or STD's but when all that holy mumbo jumbo starts creeping in then sex gets ruined by guilt. We are doing something wrong here in the good old USA. The divorce rate and how hard it is to find a mate anymore is first hand evidence.

No argument. We are living on medieval mores and norms in this country straight out of the 16th century. Europeans are much more relaxed on this subject.

I also find the violence v sex double standard amazing. In the bible its says thou shalt not kill and for us to 'replenish" the earth. Our values are ass backwards.

Sex education including the teaching of contraception is a fundamental part of having an informed sexual community religous included. What I think should added though are pictures of people with various STD's at advanced stages. This would be no more dramatic than the pitures they use to show about victims of car crashes in drivers ed. IMHO

In truth, Americans feel that there's a time and place for everything. Where it comes to vaginas and penises being shown, that should be kept to the internet in the privacy of a room. Where it should not be shown is out in public or on public TV.

That's not my personal beliefs of how things should be - rather, that's my analysis of the national psyche.

Either way, we will too eventually.

Out country is a great mix but in some ways it hinders us as much as it helps us.

Freedoms and social acceptance usually takes 3 steps forwards then two back and I think we do this a lot in our country.

Then with our freedoms a lot of people who are lost and dont understand what freedom actually is form these crybaby groups that are actually anti-freedom. They have the freedom to form these groups and the freedom to be heard but some of them are actually fighting for less freedom while they are preaching about their own freedoms and dont even see that.

IMO its a lot of people that have nothing else better to do so they pick a cause or many to fill their life with meaning while not actually understanding the harm or hindering they are doing.


BUT this is the price you pay for freedom, EVERYBODY gets heard and can fight and along with good fights there are usual 10 bad ones.

Uh, excuse me, but 99% of Americans don't care about that.

1% will file a lawsuit over something stupid, take it to the media, etc, and broadcasters have to appear to cum down hard on it so as not to get sued. Like so many things, it's all about not getting sued by that one moron with a pro-bono lawyer.

Usually those are the same people. Which is weird. Sex for fun is dirty. Sex for making babies is sacred and special. It doesn't really make sense to me.

But here's the rub. Sex can be many things. It can be all sorts of different things to all sorts of different people. It can be sacred to you and filthy to someone else. It's not up to any of us to tell anyone else what sex has to be for them. It is exactly as clean or dirty as the people involved want it to be. No one should be able to tell anyone else what sort of sex they have to have.
