Why is the uncovering of the Epstein files so important?

As per your standard SOP you make an assumption about others in a manner that benefits you. Again you are wrong.

Some of us here, some Democrats, some Independents, some Conservatives and I think even some MAGAs and like you even some Christian Nationalists are concerned about the cover-up that began in Florida back in the early 2000s (I'm too lazy to go back and search for the exact date) and continue on with some of the same players even today.

Trump lied and mislead MAGAs and promised that he would go after the "Deep State". Many of us knew his promise was horseshit. Trump may not be the leader of the Deep State - he isn't that bright - but he is a card carrying member and their very own useful idiot for the time being.

Who is, who has been, calling the shots? We don't know. It's clearly a number of people, wealthy and personally non-partisan, neither truly Democrat or Republican. I'd venture to guess your lads at the Heritage Foundation are very much a part of the Deep State, as is Trump.

They have come very close to destroying our democracy.
Very smooth how you go from wanting to see the Epstein files and suggesting there is some coverup going on. Then you segue into the "Deep State" as if that is somehow associated with a potential coverup of the Epstein files.
Then you conclude the Heritage Foundation came close to "destroying our democracy". You forget to add "as we know it".
So what is your motivation for wanting to see the contents of any "files" you feel should be uncovered? What satisfaction do you hope to enjoy?

The clamor for the release of the so-called Epstein files has reached a fever pitch.
My feeling is the vast majority of those demanding to see "the files" want to see how much the GOP will be damaged by the data especially since the mid-terms next year are critical for the Democrats' success at the polls.
The foremost goal of course is to hurt Trump, the duly elected president of this country.
To me, it is all about political fortunes for next year and very little to do with "protecting the innocent" whoever they are.

The "importance" is stressing out TACO until he pops his cork. Mentally, physically, beyond the point where the GOP can hide/rehabilitate his fuck-ups, whatever.

Actually I don't want to see the Epstein files. I believe they should be released - with the names of the victims redacted - though Trump is already calling himself a victim. How fitting.

If you have followed the entire sordid Epstein story you know full well what happened and what didn't happen in Florida and who was involved. Extremely powerful people made certain Epstein skated through an unbelievable deal. Incredible. Bigger than government itself. Still is. Think about that.

Unafraid Epstein soon continued on once he was released from his nighttime only jail sentence in Florida. Epstein literally had dirty pictures on one hell of a lot of people at the highest levels of government(s) and society on national and international levels.

You know all this.

Though much has already been said we can discuss the Heritage Foundation wherever you'd like. That they are allowed to operate with relative impunity strongly suggests they are involved as part of or with the approval of Deep State.

The Epstein issue came to the forefront because Trump in his rapid slide toward self destruction can no longer avoid stepping on his own dick. His handlers can no longer control him. They are well aware.

I am responsible for my own satisfaction. Every morning and every evening a tiny baby rabbit comes into my backyard. He is always accompanied by a road runner, a bird. Just the two of them. They are always within two feet of each other. I've never seen anything like it before. They show up and and they leave together. I look forward to it everyday. That gives me great joy. I realize that one day they won't be there. I cannot control that nor would I try. But for now it brings me great pleasure.

It is amazing to me how much you think you know about the whole Epstein saga.
And you wrote: "Epstein literally had dirty pictures on one hell of a lot of people at the highest levels of government(s) and society on national and international levels."
Literally had pictures? DId you see any of them? Did anyone you know see them?

Maybe I should find out what it is you are ingesting every morning and evening.
Sounds like something out of an old Walt Disney moving complete with cute talking animals.

Tell me how you think Trump will "pop his cork".
That is fascinating. You predict he will unable to " hide/rehabilitate his fuck-ups".

Your posts are one of the reasons I come here to find out how Liberals think.
And it does get a little scary. THat's why I stay out of seedy bars.

Why didn’t the Democrats “create the issue” when they had the opportunity? Was it because are they’re such good people?
You wonder. Dems had the files for four years and never did anything with them.
Now with Trump, they're screaming for their release because maybe, just maybe, they can have something else to smear him with.
They're not good people. Back in 2016 and 2017, Brennan, Comey, and Clapper worked hard to connect Trump to Putin to claim they colluded together to win the election in 2016 for Trump.
What a great hoax it was created to hamstring Trump for two years.
Details soon to follow.

Are you having memory issues? It was Trump and the MAGA GOP that were pushing hard for the release of the Epstein files and the list of clients that AG Bondi had stated was on her desk. But after being informed by her that his name appears in those files, all of a sudden, Trump decides against releasing the files and the "list", which supposedly doesn't exist any longer, and is now instructing his base to forget about them altogether. So this would seem to me to be more about protecting the possibly guilty rather than the innocent.

And we all know that Trump is the duly elected President of the US. No one is saying that he isn't. However, unfortunately, our Constitution has within it no barrier that excludes a Presidential candidate who has been convicted of multiple felonies from running for, and being elected to, the office of the Presidency, no matter how severe or how heinous those crimes may be. So, what do you say if we release the files in their entirety and then let the chips fall where they may?

His age and infirmities? Have you not read about it? The GOP can no longer hide the physical symptoms...did you miss that in the news? And his interviews and speaking "speak" for themselves.

And you might try to write some more "comprehensible" posts in the future...you were very excited and didnt even manage proper sentences. Maybe you should stay out of all bars.

You're right. I do stay out of bars - seedy or otherwise.

Regarding what I wrote, I understood myself perfectly.
And apparently, you did too.

I totally agree. Get it all out there.
Give a call to Trump at Mar-a-Lago and tell him he has nothing to worry about.

If Taco has nothing to worry about, then he should follow through with his campaign promise and release the files already.

I think the problem is that he does have something to worry about and that’s why he now wants everyone to stop talking about the files.

Of course he wants to get past this stupid so-called "crisis".
It does nothing to further his agenda. So obviously that's what the Dems want to do - slow him down in every way. That is the only political strategy the Dems have leading into 2026. 2026 means everything to the Dems. Otherwise, they can't have a plan that includes impeaching Trump on whatever they come up with.

You're just being contrary - ineffectively

😭 Oh no! The conversation didnt go your way. Oops, nevamind, there was no conversation. You never addressed post 427 directly. Just with flaccid snark.

You don’t have a choice for “the rich need to be exposed for their predatory appetites”.

The closest option is the “everybody who went there was a pedophile” one. I don’t posit that everybody who went “partook”. But I do posit that everybody who went knew damn well it was going on.

It’s not uncommon for the left to support condemnation of folks from either side that **** up.

It’s the right that always claims we’re just after one of theirs, even when told repeatedly that all parties should be dealt with accordingly.

But you don’t have any issue with the simple fact that he campaigned on releasing all of the info then abruptly changed his mind when reminded he was supposed to do it?

You apparently know less about the Epstein story than I thought. It has been reported repeatedly in the press and has been part of the testimony of victims that Epstein's houses were wired with peep hole cameras, bedrooms, bathrooms, massage rooms. It has been also reported by various visitors that Epstein's residences had pictures of semi-nude and nude underaged girl prominently displayed. In addition, testimony from victims have included victims having sex with various prominent people. And no, I'm not going to do the research for you.

Also there is the following regarding Sen. Wyden's on-going long term investigation:

Maybe I should find out what it is you are ingesting every morning and evening.

Maybe you should. It's called meditation. I practice it daily.

Years ago I discovered meditation was the best way for me to overcome residual anger from events I experienced in Vietnam for which I had no control. Unexpectedly, I found peace and experienced an understanding that I never considered possible.
"every evening a tiny baby rabbit comes into my backyard. He is always accompanied by a road runner, a bird. Just the two of them."

Yeah, nature is honest and real. It's full of surprises. I benefit from a greater connection to it on its on terms.

This stupid so-called "crisis" is of Trump's own making. The release of the files was a campaign promise. That was a part of his agenda to exact "retribution" on his perceived political enemies. But now realizes he may end up shooting himself in the foot if he follows through on it.

I am not inferring that Trump did not contribute to this stupid story that has become a potential scandal. I am suggesting the population as a whole is stupidly following this story because they think by exposing names, who may or may not be elitists worthy of defaming, they can wag their moralist fingers at them and claim to be highly moralist and judgmental because they hate child rapists and believe those who went to Epstein's island ARE ALL CHILD RAPISTS AND DESERVE TO BE EXPOSED AND POSSIBLE BECOME CONVICTED CRIMINALS.

What I think is that maybe you find the weekly National Enquirer to be a stimulating and informative news rag that gives you insight into today's popular stories.
I passed through Vietnam on the way to Thailand and saw enough damage and destruction there to remind me I was smart to stay out of the infantry and join the Air Force.
Sorry being in that shithole country to where meditation was the only way to deal with your PTSD.

Not to titillate me, but I would like to know your sources for blatantly stating "It has been also reported by various visitors that Epstein's residences had pictures of semi-nude and nude underaged girl prominently displayed. In addition, testimony from victims have included victims having sex with various prominent people."
Of course you won't do any research for me because you have no credible sources to back up your prurient conclusions.

But it you wish to embarrass yourself, go ahead and feed me references so I can agree with your fantasy conclusions.

But you don’t have any issue with the simple fact that he campaigned on releasing all of the info then abruptly changed his mind when reminded he was supposed to do it?
I think there is a good possibility he is stalling on releasing all Epstein finding because he believes the story will eventually go away.
But there are many lewd and lascivious posters on this web site who are drooling over who could be exposed by the Epstein "files".
But they don't realize that anything revealed will have so many black lines of redacted names, no one will be able to find names of elitists who are ready to file lawsuits if their names are publicized.
