Why is the average firearm owner, an unsafe gun owner?

That nonsense is just as dumb as the first time you posted it.

Just because some gun control zealots pretend ammo needs to be stored separately from firearms doesn’t make it true.

But then when has the gun control side ever worried about the truth.

You can say what you want but it's not really addressing the topic. If anything it's the refusal to engage with the post that makes me think there's something more going on. An honest question, do you think I said you aren't a safe gun owner?

And what's changed in this culture from then till now?

That's a very broad question. If we're taking a guess about what the specific cause would be, I would say integration of school districts and the fear that if black people knew how to use firearms they would use them against white people as part of a race war.

Accidental fatalities are preventable fatalities. Accidental injuries are preventable injuries. I won't lie, the post comes across moreso as not being able to make a cognizant point on guns.
Yes and they are very rare when it comes to firearms in the US which proves your claims that the average gun owner is unsafe to be dishonest BS.

But hey seeing that you are trying to deflect with insults shows that deep down you realize you have nothing but lack the integrity to admit it.
But then that is no surprise.

Or when you hear glass break in your house, your window or door alarms go off or your your dogs starts barking .

Lol

Stupid reply. This is not the real world.

That’s some pretty decent insight into your personal world views.

Thankfully most Americans don’t think like that.

Hi, I've asked multiple gun owners on DP how they store their firearms. Not a single one keeps their firearms separate from their ammo. I've been asking this question for awhile now. There's nothing else to do. Gun owners I've asked, don't know how to do something as simple as store their firearms safely.
Look - those "guidelines" for safe storage are grossly biased against gun owners.

Why would anyone keep their guns and ammo separate? Seriously - why? All that does is render the firearm completely useless for anything.

Sure, if you have kids in the house, you need to take extra precautions; I'm not averse to that at all. Gun safes are a perfectly viable option for that and doesn't adversely affect one's ability to get to the gun to protect themselves.

Properly trained gun owners know how to handle their firearms safely and responsibly.

What do you mean by "rare"? What exactly is a rare number? And seeing as how you haven't cited anything that disproves my sources... it comes less across like you're making a point and more so an angry reaction.

The funniest part of all this is every time you have no intelligent response this is you go to attempt at deflection.

I wonder if you really think people can’t see through this.

What??? Fear that the blacks will rise up against whites in a race war? Isn't that just a tad racist?

Yeah. I am stupid.

Peace

500ish fatalities a year out of the millions of gun owners is incredibly rare.
You not being able to do math is not my problem.

But keep defecting. Maybe someday it will help you out.

That's the thing, they're not being safe with their firearms. That's the hard point to get across. There's a simple reason why we need to keep firearms separate from the ammo. To keep them accidental discharges down. Why else do you think I cited the last statistic in the OP? The last point is especially important, because it shows that firearm owners aren't protecting themselves from the actual threats, ie using the gun on themselves or a family member. Practicing basic gun safety like keeping a gun locked in storage with ammo separate helps to protect against these basic threats.

A lie proven by the thousands of people who use firearms to defend themselves every single year.
Do tell.

I intend to rob you.

The first you know of this is when you feel my gun pressing into your body.

Now, if you go to grab your gun, what do you think happens?

THINK!

500ish is more than one a day. That's not a small number. That's a preventable death every day, on top of the other deaths.

Yes because that of how all robberies go.

You should stop basing your beliefs off what you see in movies.

Yeah. It's very racist. Do you not think that laws exist that are done out of racism?

Did you notice the photo you used before only had white people in it? So we're looking at a time most likely before schools were integrated. Judging by the clothes, probably 60's or 70's. We know at that time the Black Panthers were active and were militant with firearms. We know that gun regulations were passed at the time to limit the Black Panthers and other Black Nationalists at the time. So it makes sense to me as schools were integrated, those classes were dropped as a result. At least that's my theory.

If i decided to victimize you all your gun could do is make a bad situation worse.
I advise against that. But if you find it acceptable risk that’s on you.

I am sorry you don’t know how per capita works. Or basic math. Maybe take a class sometime.

Be more specific. Do you mean like a drug addict coming into your home and threatening you?
It happens. Could be anything though.

The point is a 911 call will take over half an hour to get help.

Having dogs and a loaded 12 guage handy is standard practice.
