(Trump, Obama, Bush, etc.) This year is looking like it's going to be closer than usual. Democrats have some tailwind with the Dobbs decision and Biden's recent legislative victories. The GOP may still do well, but the political climate suggests that they are unlikely to do as well as they would normally be expected to do in a midterm election during a Democratic administration.
The key difference between the two is the former president also used social media actively, so there was a lot more to react to on a more frequent basis than with the current president. If Biden said the racist things that Trump did, if Biden bragged about being the first, the only, as much as Trump did, if Biden lied half the times Trump did, if Biden refused to accept election results as Trump did, if Biden insulted women's looks as Trump did, if Biden refused to reveal his taxes as Trump did ...
