You can not give business a free riegn like the libertarians would like. They will soon be corrupted by greed and our economy suffers as a result. Unlike drug use greed hurts others. Lets debate business on my other post. I want to talk about drugs here.

I'm for legalizing all the drugs in question, so there isn't much to talk about there unless you wish to back down on your position. There is however a great deal to say about your ideas on businesses leaving overseas. You seem to think that its fine to restrict them from practicing their free will to do business wherever they please and you have yet to offer an argument for why you think that.

But you can't drink or smoke anywhere you choose, can you? If you choose to do so, you face misdemeanor or felony charges just like anyone else who breaks one of society's laws...

Freedom is not a series of laws, it's your outlook and spiritual belief about the nature of life and existence. As long as you look to logical arguments and legal structures to define freedom, there will always be disagreement and you'll be grasping at straws.

You could be in jail and still be free, or you could live in a mansion with all the amenities and feel like a prisoner. People who think freedom is something fought for are too materialistic. You are free right now, so do what you want with it.

Not always but the same thing can be said about booze and cigareets. If you sit in your home and smoke a joint and have a couple beers while watching the boob tube then noone else gets hurt but if you get into a car and wreck then it hurts others. If you smoke cigarettes you only hurt yourself but if you do it in a car while your child is sitting in a car seat then that line is crossed again.

Social conservatives are the enemy of freedom my friend. They are all for rights if they defend their Jesus freak agenda but not if they deem it sin. Freedom also says Anton Ley Vey has the right to write the Satanic bible or Americans have the right to be communist or skinheads. The problem with social conservatives is they want to pick and choose who gets freedom. If you are against abortion,gay rights and legalized drugs then you my friend are not for freedom at all.

Okay. Give me universal (all States and territories and cities with no local pre-emption, and no restrictions on places normally open to the public) Constitutional Carry (open or concealed, no permit required for anyone legally able to own a firearm), and I'll be glad to concede Gay Marriage.
