Why go for prostitutes

Ok what i wanna know is way do people want to be with prostitutes at all.I mean even an ugly guy could surely go to a club and take a women home for free plus its alot better because she wants to too.

In my experience, this is a fantasy that a lot of (younger, especially) men and boys have. It's, you know... curiosity. To see how or if sex workers are different from other women. To see what they're like in general, and not just sexually.
The media and the entertainment industry glamorize sex workers to some extent; this was more true in the 80s and early 90s than it is now.
In our culture, there is both a stigma and a mystique (which is the inevitable flip side of stigma) around prostitutes, and it makes people of both genders curious about them: what it's like to be with one, or what it's like to be one.
In the end, I suspect that for most people the reality is disappointingly mundane; most prostitutes aren't Julia Roberts. Most men who frequent prostitutes aren't Richard Gere.
 
I can't answer your question but I can say that I also will never understand what makes anyone pay for sex. Why would want to have sex with someone that has had sex with hundreds of other people AND pay for it. YUCK!!!
 
Why pay for what you can get for free?
 
Personally, I think that if the desire ain’t mutual, I’d rather do without.

Nothing quite as unappealing as a listless sex object that’s already been slimed earlier in the day, carries the risk of passing along crotch rot or a slowly lingering death, costs much more than the inanimate alternatives, potentially gets you thrown in jail and denigrated with all sorts of wonderful labels and barred from coming within 1500 feet of a school, and has the potential to get you mugged or murdered for your wallet. All that and the cherry on top of seeing and contributing to the emotional damage those women are subjected to.

But…if I was more desperate for companionship, pressed for time, had fewer scruples, and produced less oxytocin…I guess I can understand the appeal.

Nobody ever pays for what they can get for free; it’s just that not all payments are measured in money.
 
paying for it is a lot easier than finding someone that will consent to do it for free.
 
Most real prostitutes are quite sleazy, but the guys that go to them are, too. Guess that's the end of the story.

From what I've seen on HBO most of the sex isn't all that great. The girls won't do a lot of stuff, and if they will they want more money. Some of them even fake blow jobs with hand jobs, so you don't always get your money's worth.

I do think it's the fantasy angle for most guys and maybe a few women. Women are usually more germ a phobic, so this would turn a lot of them off.

And high end prostitutes are called escorts, they cost alot more but I guess thats so they can afford a shower, and crab shampoo??
 

I'm very good friends with a girl who used to be an escort. All the girls she worked with were pretty to beautiful in looks, and most only took on one client a day. Of course they could afford to, seeing as they made $400 an hour. They didn't charge more for different things but they all had things they wouldn't do. They worked out of a downtown loft and had a secretary to book their appointments.

A lot of prostitution is sleezy, but not all of it is.
 
I have much more respect for men who go to prostitutes than men who lie to women in order to get them into bed. At least the "john" is being honest about what he wants. And wanting "just sex" is a perfectly valid thing to want.

Many women are "whores" in some sense. The man who gets it "for free" isn't usually getting it for free. He has to spend time "wooing" the woman, buying her drinks, buying her dinner, buying a movie, etc, etc. It's far from "free".

The reason men go to prostitutes is to avoid that whole BS ritual and just get to what he wants. It's honest. And there's nothing wrong with it at all.

Many men who visit prostitutes are not unable to get a woman via more acceptable methods, they just choose to forgo that time consuming dishonesty. There aren't that many women that are comfortable enough with their sexuality that they'll go for one night stands, or "just sex" relationships. They exist, of course, but the ratio is not in the man's favor due to social insecurities that women have to deal with.

And, people seem to have a bad view of prostitution and think of it as only the street hookers. Yes, they exist, but they are but a small portion of the sex industry. They're just what people SEE most often due to their visibility and the media, tv shows, and movies. The larger portion of the sex industry are attractive, clean cut women who take care of themselves and are more discriminate about their johns. They don't have sex dozens of times a night, most often just once.

So why go to a prostitute? Because it's easier, and it's honest and straightforward.

Aside from that, there is the fantasy aspect. There are many prostitutes who will be what you want them to be, do what you want them to do... play out just about any sort of fantasy for you. You know... those fantasies that you don't want to tell your wife or girlfriend, or *anyone* else about. They won't judge you, they just oblige you your desires.
 


Prostitution is the perfect way to get sex. And for the $400 an hour escorts, well hey, I'd probably have to spend alot more than that to get a girl that good looking into bed anyway. And... for an hour I can squeeze as many times in as I can too. For 400 dollars you better bet I would. And you don't have to "get to know them". God I love capitalism... You pay a premium price, and you get premium service. If you pay low prices, you get low level service. Perfect :mrgreen:

Well, most of their clients were unbelievably wealthy. A lot of them would take the girl out for dinner, the opera, three-four hour dates....at $400/hour. Not to metion the gifts their regulars would give them. It's made me second guess my career option a couple times. :mrgreen:

It doesn't last that long for the high end girls though. I guess the Pretty Woman myth is a big reality in some areas. The "pimp" or "Madame" or whatever you want to call it for my friend (she was actually the lady that owned the condo and provided the secretary...for 10% of their earnings), expected most girls to last 6 months before they either hooked up/fell in love with one of their clients or became their permanent girlfriend. In other words, said client would pay the girl to be exclusive. True to form, my friend lasted nine months and now lives with one of her clients. C'est l'amour. :lol:
 
For all the complaints women have about equality in the work place, this is an area where they hold an amazing advantage over men. I mean, I couldn't go out and sell myself on the street for $20 to a woman, much less be a male escort for some rich women. Sex is the one place where women have earning power over men. And they never have to pay to get it. Especially if they have 1 attractive quality, thats about all it takes for a guy. We can be forgiving on the ***, if the chest makes up for it, or forgiving on the chest if the *** makes up for it etc....
 


Oh, I don't know. I might pay for some really mind blowing sex from a really hot guy. Especially if he was more...attentive than most guys are. But certainly not more than $100.
 
Actually, there are plenty of male prostitutes as well. And there are rich women who pay handsomely for the company of male "escorts".

The ratio is in favor of female prostitutes, for sure. But don't sell yourself short there bud... you may well be able to pull in some cash for that bod.

You know, I hear guys say stuff like this and it really makes me wonder about marriage. Why did you get married at all if you feel like that? And why would a girl marry a guy who felt like that? I would certainly never want to marry a guy who was dragging his feet or I felt like I had to force to do it. Guess that dooms me to singleness or lesbianism, huh? :lol:

LOL you are to bad. I think it is the opposite though. I mean what they heck did she got outta the deal? Oh yeah she has to wash your nasty underwear now. Great trade off.
 

I am not sure. I can't think of anybody I would rather spend the rest of my life with other than my wife. She's smart and witty, and a great person. But to be honest I can think of alot of other women I would like to have sex with.
So in my case, I wanted to get married because I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, but the only way that she would probably stay with me is if we were married. Now I have made a commitment to her, I will honor that, but I can't just shut down millions of years of evolution. The thoughts are going to be in my head when some girl goes prancing by in short shorts that say "juicy" on the butt, and her boobs all giggling around in a tank top.
I just won't act on them.

Oh to be a caveman again....

Hah, not my wife. i do most of my laundry. Her excuse is that I have arms and legs too. Somehow it doesn't work in reverse when we had 14 inches of snow and the driveway needed to be shoveled....
 

So you desire your wife as a person and other women for their bodies. Fair enough, I suppose most men have the same problem. Good for you for recognizing your desires, but not acting on them. It's very...buddhist of you.

Don't get me wrong, i still desire my wifes body too ( assuming she gets back down to pre-baby weight, which she is on a good track to do). But sometimes you damn women just have to flaunt your goods. But please don't stop. Its a pleasureful kind of pain...
