Soldiers with the 5th Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), train alongside U.S. Border Patrol agents and Danish Special Operations Forces during mortar live-fire training at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Aug. 7, 2025. Training with local and international partners strengthens interoperability, builds trust, and ensures militaries can respond effectively to shared challenges. AE25 is a North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities, and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic. There is no valid use case for mortars in a law enforcement operation. Who are they training to murder?

Kristi needs a new cosplay outfit and this provides a useful justification.

I honestly think it’s more interesting that the ****ing Danes are helping them.

Copenhagen needs to get a government with a damn spine.

It’s actually smart. We are spending money to train the Danes on how to repel American armed forces in Greenland. And they’re learning on our own soil.

Well played, Denmark. Well played.

Makes sense the border patrol would assist military in defending our country from invasion.

Until Bigfoot wanders up and murders them all. From what I’ve seen on the Travel Channel, that may actually be a concern.

"Well they called it this inocuous sounding thing...that means it must be fine!"

That's the most Russian/Republican defense ever, @anatta

Hey!

How come I'm not being trained on javelin anti-tank missiles? I've been a cop longer than any of those zygotes.
Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be given some when we invade Mexico next.

I better get overtime. Also travel expenses. Mexico is like an hour away.

Oh crap!

Border patrol = national defense. Are liberals surprised they're not just packing nightsticks, handcuffs, and tasers?

Mortars are not standard law enforcement equipment, no.
