RALEIGH (CBS/AP) As if John Edwards was not dealing with enough problems already, new reports have surfaced that the former Democratic presidential candidate has starred in his very own tape that contains "several sex acts," reports media blog Gawker.com.

The list of Edwards' troubles has been piling up. Last week, Edwards admitted that he fathered a child with Rielle Hunter, a videographer he hired before his second White House bid. In a new book, a former aide claims that Edwards asked him to fake a paternity test and steal one of the baby's diapers to perform a DNA test on its poop. Edwards is also facing questions about whether he improperly used campaign funds in paying more than $100,000 to Hunter’s production company.

The alleged sex tape which is said to feature Edwards and Hunter, "is explicit and reveals that Edwards 'is physically very striking, in a certain area,'" the site reported.

Edwards' aide, Andrew Young, reportedly found the footage on an unmarked tape. Young mentioned the existence of the tape in his book proposal last year, the New York Daily News reported.

According to Young, Hunter called him in May 2007 to say she was pregnant. Young says that when he informed Edwards, the senator told him to "handle it," to which he replied: "I can't handle this one." Young writes that Edward unloaded on Hunter as a "crazy slut," said they had an "open relationship," and put his paternity chances at "one in three." Young says that Edwards asked him for help persuading Hunter to have an abortion.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. – The mistress of former presidential candidate John Edwards wants a "very private and personal" videotape back from a former aide who wrote a book about the politician, according to court documents obtained Friday by The Associated Press.

Rielle Hunter was granted a temporary restraining order against former Edwards aide Andrew Young in a North Carolina court. It seeks the return of photos and videos, including one she says she made in 2006 while working for Edwards.

"In or about September 2006, using my video camera, I authored a personal video recording that depicted matters of a very private and personal nature," Hunter wrote in an affidavit filed Thursday. "In 2006, I was also having an intimate relationship with Edwards."

In the book, Young describes viewing a sex tape that showed Edwards and a woman he assumed was Hunter. Young says some videotapes were inside a "box of trash" that Hunter left behind at a home he rented for her. He says that the tape had been pulled out but that he was able to fix it.

Don't know why he would do that. No, I wouldn't want to watch it.

I haven't made a tape of myself but I've allowed some to be made. I've been considering making some with my beau, and selling access to them on a website. Awww yeah... $$$

I don't understand the rationale behind it either. This tool-bag does not need anymore money. It must be some strange fetish he had while cheating on his ill-stricken wife. Maybe it made him feel like his penis was bigger whenever he fantasied his wife finding the dirty tape.

They only mention Hillsborough because it's Orange County (Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, some parts of Mebane)'s county seat.


Any legal bull**** they report from Hillsborough. Any illegal bull**** they report from Chapel Hill. Any queer bull**** they report from Carrboro (Kidding!) sorta.
