As to the 2nd, well before comments by Carlson on the origin of the virus, The Daily Mail, the Lancet numerous other publications and a few folks in congress had already stated the possibility that the virus originated in a Wuhan lab. The other night Carlson referred to Jeff Bezos and his rocket adventure as Bezos' change-of-life experience in a rocket called Phallus One.
Now, Carlson wasn't serious about that. It was satire. Satire can be a kind of ridicule but it's not a lie.
And when Carlson says Rep. Eric Swalwell is low IQ, it doesn't mean Carlson knows what Swalwell's IQ is.
Maybe he was just speculating about the IQ of a US Congressman who would mix it up with a Chinese spy named Fang Fang.
