White House: Obama to lay out spending plan
White House says Obama will lay out deficit-reduction plan later this week
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Obama will lay out new plans this week to reduce the federal deficit in part by seeking cuts to government programs for seniors and the poor, a top political adviser said Sunday, adding that Americans expect both sides to work together.
"You're going to have to look at Medicare and Medicaid and see what kind of savings you can get," Obama adviser David Plouffe said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Truely amazing watching the Most Expensive President in History......the Biggest Leftist to ever stain the Whitehouse......sprint towards the middle grasping at the very conservative principles he despises.
HusSame is trying to pull the biggest 180 in history, in an effort to woo the very voters who still believe it was BJ Clinton who balanced the budget and reformed Welfare. Coming on the heels of last Friday night, when the Tea Party dragged Obama and Democrats to The Largest Spending Cut in US History kicking and screaming......only to have The Most Expensive President in US History take credit a few hours later.
This will be interesting........if Obama supports cutting Medicaid and Medicare today.......the Democrat faithful will support it tomorrow......just as they did with Barack Petroleum's Lybian War for Oil.
4/11/2011......Democrats support killing Seniors and depriving "da Childen"....

Here’s the unvarnished pitch House Speaker John Boehner would love to make to his conservative critics if he could just let it fly: “You are winning, and winning decisively. So stop your whining.”
And here’s the unvarnished truth about that pitch: Boehner would be spot on.
The winners and losers of this weekend’s 11th-hour budget deal may be in dispute. But the broader trajectory of politics, stretching back to the spring of 2009, is not. The Republican — and, yes, the tea party — agenda is not only ascendant, it’s driving the debate over reshaping government at every level.
Jubilant top Republicans told POLITICO in interviews that they plan to use the momentum from the budget fight to take a hard line with President Barack Obama in the fiscal fights of the months ahead.
Bush was the most expensive president ever. He doubled the debt while driving the economy into the ground for the next president.
Yes of course.....and BJ Clinton balanced the budget and reformed Welfare......and Obama was responsible for The Largest Spending Cut in US History.....

You do know the economy collapsed at the end of Bush's term, don't you? You do know he doubled the debt while the economy was booming due to new home construction, don't you. You do know that the 2009 budget was Bush's and the bank bailout money was spent by Bush, don't you? Obama was left with a turd sandwich thanks to Bush.
obama taking credit for "the biggest annual spending cut in our history" twice during his 5:00 saturday address (what used to be called for decades the president's radio address)
obama at 11:30 pm friday, standing in front of the window that puts the washington monument behind his right shoulder, said the exact same talking point---"the biggest annual spending cut in our history"
"sure to take credit for cutting spending even tho he fought it most of the way"
40 bil in cuts, the end of earmarks, the extension of the bush tax cuts

This is what makes me angry.
Obama's starting point was zero and he and the Dems were dragged kicking and screaming to get to "the biggest annual spending cuts in history." Yet who does he credit the cuts to? Well, himself of course.
Most in the media won't say it so I will. I think Boehner did a great job and Reid and Obama should be ashamed of themselves.
The starting point was not zero. Democrats want to cut things, just different things than you want to cut.
Also, the "most expensive president" nonsense is always hilarious. The bulk of our deficit is a combination of two wars, the Bush tax cuts, and the recession. The first was a huge expenditure, the other two reductions in revenue. Why is the revenue side of the equation always ignored when it comes time to bash a Democrat? Yes, sometimes cutting taxes can increase revenue. Not at these rates, though. We lost revenue. Lots of it. The economy crash made things worse.
The starting point was not zero.
Though there is broad agreement on the terms of the defense authorization bill, Democrats object to $12 billion in budget cuts that the measure calls for in the seven-day extension of funding for other areas of the government. House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) called instead for a one-week extension at existing spending levels.
They had complete supermajority unadulterated control for 2 years.........
..........What did they cut?
In 30 days Obama spent more than Iraq War, Afghanastan War, General War on Terror, and Katrina.......COMBINED.....
In 60 days Obama proposed spending that amounts to more spending then all previous administrations.........COMBINED.......
.........The Kenyan Tyrant has definitely earned the title of THE MOST EXPENSIVE PRESIDENT IN HISTORY........and THE WORST.....

None of this is accurate.
According to CBO I think, Obama's Feb 2011 spending was more than Bush's 2007 entire year.
j-mac
So if you're going to accept that CBO conclusion I'll hope you'll accept the one that said Obamacare would actually save money
Nah, I only threw that out there because I know how you libs love it so. I still think that Obama has corrupted them.

Yes of course.....and BJ Clinton balanced the budget and reformed Welfare......and Obama was responsible for The Largest Spending Cut in US History.....

"you Libs"
lol.
Really shows your weakness I'm debate when you feel the need to label your competition instead of addressing what he said.
I was merely pointing out the inconsistencies I was seeing.
Ain't a lib.
You just ignore the fact that the reason the graph looks like that is because Obama put the wars on the budget, while Bush didn't.

heh, heh, sure you are, you like many others are just embarrassed to admit it.

the wars don't even come close to what Obama has spent in the past 2 years. Try another one.
j-mac
'09 was Bush's budget and that didn't include his trillion dollar bank bailout. We have spent over a trillion dollars for the wars...........for nothing. Bush was just as bad if not worse than Obama.
