Thou shall not cross Dear Leader. With their gutter sniping failing to stop Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned March speech before Congress, White House aides are unloading their full arsenal of bile.

“He spat in our face publicly, and that’s no way to behave,” one Obama aide told an Israeli newspaper. “Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price.”

It is pointless to say petty threats do not become the Oval Office. Trying to instruct this White House on manners recalls what Mark Twain said about trying to teach a pig to sing: It wastes your time and annoys the pig. Still, the fury is telling. It reminds, as if we could forget, that everything is always about Obama.

How dare Israel be more concerned with the existential threat of Iranian nukes than with Obama’s feelings? And what do members of Congress think they are, a separate branch of government or something?

I dont think anyone is home at the white house, the world burns, as he insults our allies and provides comfort to our enemies. Jimmy Carter almost looks like Churchill compared to this POTUS.

I very rarely watch television, dont really care what Fox News is saying.

And while I admire Israel and its history, I dont think I will be moving there.

That's an quote from an op-ed, in addition to the fact that the quotes from the White House are quite obviously unsourced. While It's hard to believe the WH wouldn't be insulted, there's no need to hold up these quotes as anything other than rumor.

Not America per se, but certainly American foreign policy. Boehner cited Obama's inteptidue as the reason for inviting Netanyahu to speak before Congress. If the House Democrats invited a French leader to speak before Congress and lambast the occupation of Iraq, the Bush WH would have a similarly negative reaction. (Or Pelosi/Russia)

Israel can't be critical of Obama's foreign policy? What about Congress?

Obama has spent his presidency burning down bridges with our allies and now its our allies fault?

Isreal is not just criticizing Obama's foreign policy, it is undermining attempts at diplomacy with Iran.

There is no such thing as diplomacy with Iran on this issue. They are talking to buy themselves time and nothing more. Netanyahu sees this, Obama does not.

It's kind of funny that an "Obama aide" thinks the big man only has " a year and a half left to his presidency" when he has a couple of days shy of 2 years left in his term. Perhaps he was considering the 6 months off golfing as non-presidency time.

Maybe isreal should stop commiting actions that target Iran and increase hostility's between the two. Just Look How many of irans top nuclear scientists have died under mysterious circumstances?
