Duhhh....

Sure, what else do you think makes you better? The sole purpose of a vaccine is to trigger an immune reaction. So you get better.

I have done the same thing my whole life. Though I did take my vaccine shots for any disease, just like any other kid did. But I also walked in a t-shirt when it was -20C. Just to make me stronger. I can see today, now that we have a little one running about and getting sick at timely intervals, infecting the whole family in the process, that I do not get sick like anyone else in the family. I just get a little tired. But whether that gives me enough resistance against new viruses such as Covid is not something I want to try first. Hence my vaccine.

However, when Covid came around the corner, you had no idea whether your body would have enough resistance to fight Covid or not. Apparently it did. And this may well be because you have a fairly good general immune system build up over the years. However, the fact remains that you do not know about any potential underlying conditions that may make your reaction to Covid more severe.

Yes, there is a risk to your own health when you use a vaccine. Yet the risk of dying from complications from the vaccine are so small compared to the risk of dying of Covid itself that there is no benefit at all to not taking the vaccine. Now I honestly couldn't care less whether people like you pull through or not, but what really makes your behaviour so despicable is of course that you also increase the chance of infecting other people.

As far as I am concerned they should make vaccines mandatory. The benefits outweigh the risks. It is not acceptable that we put the lives of innocent people at risk because some people have seen the light and think they know better.

I am not worried about either one. I have yet to go to a funeral for anyone who died from Covid. For some reason no one in my family or circle of friends has died from Covid. However they are still dying from the same things they have been dying from for decades. I even went outside and checked to make sure the sky is not falling. I think we are not going extinct yet. So I will let the fear mongers worry about covid until the next viral out break that is coming. I will continue to enjoy life. So I say let those who cower in the corner live in fear while the rest of us enjoy life. ;)

The real danger is that the fear mongers are still out there ready to weaponize the next crisis. The poll here at DP shows that there are many who will be receptive to that message. We need to hold people accountable. The same media who didn't question the covid narrative, didn't question the 2020 election, didn't question the " best version of Biden ever" are holding fast or making excuses even as the curtain is pulled back. Our only hope is that these have lost credibility.
Like I have said here for 4 years, I appreciate all of Fauci's beagles who got the experimental shot. I will remain in the control group.

He looks more like Stan Laurel every time I see him. He's a retired nurse tutor who used to do the occasional shift at his local accident unit till youtube proved more lucrative.

Sadly not just MAGA's Here in the UK we had our own "Trump" in the shape of Boris Johnson, whose team's incompetence cost at least a hundred thousand lives, according to the Enguiry unfolding in London right now. Like the US, the risk was scoffed at, mask wearing belittled, Johnson even boasted at one point of having visited Covid wards without one. Then he supposedly caught it, was hospitalised, then recovered within a week....The current UK Covid death rate is just under 100 per week, but it's no longer headline news.

There have been 55 cases of death after COVID-19 vaccination reported and a causal relationship has been excluded in 17 cases. In the remaining cases, the causal link between the vaccine and the death was not specified (8) or considered possible (15), probable (1), or very probable/demonstrated (14). The causes of deaths among these cases were: vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) (32), myocarditis (3), ADEM (1), myocardial infarction (1), and rhabdomyolysis (1). In such cases, the demonstration of a causal relationship is not obvious, and more studies, especially with post-mortem investigations, are needed to deepen understanding of the possible pathophysiological mechanisms of fatal vaccine side effects.

You and me both. Because of vaccines, I rarely fall ill, and even then i'm over it in a day. A 24 hour flu was the last illness I had. Even then, the only symptoms I suffered was nasal congestion and fatigue. A dose of Nyquil and a good sleep and I was over it the next day. Thank you pharmaceutical science.
