Words are cheap. I need more than that to make a decision.Candidate A speech:
"The new national government will consider it its first and supreme duty to restore our nation’s unity of will and spirit. It will safeguard and defend the foundations on which the strength of our nation rests. It will firmly protect Christianity, the basis of our entire morality; it will safeguard the family, the nucleus of our body politic and our state. It wants to base the education of our country’s youth on a reverence for our great past, on pride in our old traditions. It will thus declare war on spiritual, political, and cultural nihilism. We must not and will not become prey to anarchic Communism. In place of turbulent instincts, the government will once again make national discipline our guide. In so doing, it will consider with great care all institutions which are the true guarantors of the strength and power of our nation."
Candidate B speech:
“This great Nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself – nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance... We do not distrust the future of essential democracy. The people of the United States have not failed. In their need they have registered a mandate that they want direct, vigorous action... They have made me the present instrument of their wishes. In the spirit of the gift, I take it.”
Why?If people vote based off a few paragraphs of words, that's a problem.
Because vague paragraphs with no policy or substance are worthless? Why?
It isn't a real vote in a real election.Because vague paragraphs with no policy or substance are worthless?
It does explain why and how some people vote though.
Except when the Senate Minority Leader engages in 'vague paragraphs' then it absolutely it describes how conservatives vote.Because vague paragraphs with no policy or substance are worthless?

Oh I’m sure idiots on both sides of the political spectrum vote based on speeches.Except when the Senate Minority Leader engages in 'vague paragraphs' then it absolutely it describes how conservatives vote.

It is not a real Election folks.
It is a thought experiment of sorts.
Need more information! What record does each candidate have. What Bills have they supported. One speech means nothing.

Candidate B.
Candidate A would not doubt appeal to many R-wingers.
