It doesn't, exactly and precisely, in the sense you mean.
We are not supposed to
swear oaths... in recent years I've wondered if that also includes the pledge of allegiance and military oaths, something rarely addressed from the pulpit... but also things like "I'll be damned if I'll ______!!" would fall under that.
Our society has decided some words are acceptable and others are not; this is mainly cultural.
However, one could argue "abstain from all appearance of evil" is such an admonition... though IMO that particular verse is too easily stretched all out of shape for my comfort...
But it is oddly applied. I know some of my co-religionists who will sometimes say "crap!" or "screw this!" who would get very upset if I spoke the OTHER words that mean the exact same thing as those euphemisms they sometimes utter...
