.....not that it's going to change a damn thing but I want my words to be officially recorded by the plethora recording bots for various sites as to making a logical and quasi-legal case as to the documented capricious methods of rule enforcement here.

Well, yes it did. There is a basement forum specifically intended to discuss moderator action.

Well, I've been here a long time, and I don't really notice such a thing, despite being of a minority political mind on DP. The moderation is one reason I prefer this place, even to other sites where I am in better company (or worse -- this place is simply better than most of any bent).

I'd also remind you that the forum is not free (freedom, not free lunch -- the forum is "free lunch," at least most of it). It is privately owned and the owner may make whatever rules he wishes. So you can make legal arguments all you like, but ultimately, none of them will stick, because a privately owned forum is not a democracy.

I think the best place for your complaints is going to be where Kobie mentioned.

If you want to report a mod, you can either use the report-a-post button which appears on every single post throughout the forum, or you can go to the bottom of the main page and contact the admin, or you can PM the admin directly.

That being said:
There are no "recording bots".
There is no "record".
There is no legal action you can take against a mod even for extremely bad moderating. Forum rules have no more weight in court than your house rules, which is to say, non at all, and so braking them is not against any law.

If a mod is using any personal information you were foolish enough to give the site to somehow stalk, harass or ID theft, then you have some legal ground, but that has nothing to do with moderation.
