What's Obama done to alienate the right so much?

Now he stands firm, FREEZING FEDERAL WAGES IN A GODDAMN RECESSION!!! I didn't vote for a punk republican, this **** is pissing me off. I just cannot, for the life of me, understand why Republicans act like he's the antichrist. It is ALL rhetoric, Obama has done NOTHING socialist, communist, or even democrat..

I'm sorry he's been such a disappointment to you.:(

Being a southerner and living in Kentucky now I can tell you some real hard reasons that most people are just to scared to admit or are full of **** and won't admit it. Here are the reasons the right (in general the public right) don't like him:

-They have butt hurt over Bush being such a dumbass so they got to make this guy look like a dumbass

-He's black

-He's black and smarter than them or they think he is telling them what to do

-His name

-His birth certificate isn't "real"

-He is running around sucking off other world leaders apparently as a way to say they are sorry.

-He is forcing our children to eat better or else he will kill them

-He is taxing EVERYONE more even though he is taxing them just the same or even less than Bush did

-Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, etc tell them what they should think and when they should think it

-He's a democrat

-Healthcare is socialist or something

-His family is also black

-He "chooses" to be black and is the most racist president of all time

from post #6

He came from my state - and his accomplishments in my state are nonexistent. He represents an empty suit to me. All fluff and no substance and as such he embodies everything that is wrong with the political climate today.

in truth, hope and change is more like meet the new boss, same as the old boss. but that shouldn't really be a surprise.

Joby...NOT being able to do something you try to do doesn't magically make it a ton better. If someone tries to punch you in the face and you have friends jump up and grab him, causing the punch to hit more harmlessly on your shoulder and thus making him give up, do you suddenly just decide to ignore the fact he just tried to punch you in the face?

He pushed for Universal Health Care. He pushed for the end of DADT. He pushed for Cap and Trade. He did numerous bailouts and bought out companies. He continually and habiturally points fingers at the past administration for everything rarely seeming to take any self responsability or ownership. He talked about closing gitmo, scolded the old administration about Gitmo, spoke about the attrocity of gitmo...and then leaves it open. He talks about Bipartisanship but makes comments right off, like the Rush comment or the "I won one", made it apparent in his mind it meant "compromise how we tell you to compromise". The way he presents America abroad with the way he's comment about its past, present, and future. His attrocious response to the Iran Green Revolution situation. His weak tact towards Iran in general. His rather stern and at time seeming adversarial tact with Israel. His handling of the oil spill.

This isn't even hitting onto things said or done prior to eleciton...such as his "bitter clingers" comment, his "spread the wealth around" comment, his support for gun bans, and other things that give people pause and suspicion of his ulterior motives. This also doesn't hit some of the of the more recent comment, such as refering to Republicans as "the enemy". While not direct actions relating to his job as the President, they further work to alienate him from people on the right.

Him not succeeding easily and simply giving up doesn't change what he tried and obviously WANTS to do.

What's Obama done to alienate the right so much?

He is not a radical right wing extremist who the American people elected to be President of the United States of America.

No greater offense could he ever commit.

He's just to cool for me and smokes kools and has big ears and an ugly face and creepy voice and is on TV 3-4 times a day to much. Maybe I'll throw my TV out and will like him more.

Obama is a cigarette smoker. That in itself disqualifies him to serve as president. Bad role model. Yellow teeth. Tobacco stained fingers. Repulsive.

The right never expected anything positive from BaraK Obama and didn't vote for him.

He has alienated the Middle.

I am not saying they ever did expect anything for him. He alienated the right simply by those two facts
1- he is not a right winger
2- he got elected president

hating him is in their DNA.

If Obama walked on water they would excoriate him for not being able to swim.

How could he alienate the right if they were never for him? There was nothing to alienate.

Only BHO thinks he can walk on water, but he can't even keep his head above it.

The fact is that BHO went from high approval to low approval only because of his lies and incompetence. There was nothing more required.

I am not saying they ever did expect anything for Palin. She alienated the left simply by those two facts
1- he is not a left winger
2- she was the VP choice opposing thier candidate

hating her is in their DNA.

If Palin walked on water they would excoriate her for not being able to swim.

post corrected... you're welcome.

No... it ws a vast right wing conspiracy! The voices in my head told me!

No one will give me a definition of the bolded.

IMHO, Republicans intentionally threw the 2008 Presidential election. They didn't want to have to clean up the steaming piles left by BushCo. They put themselves in a position to rally and take over congress after Obama did their dirty work. Typical chickenshytehawks. Yea, they threw it alright.

He could have allowed gays to serve openly in the military. Could have stood firm, but did not, listening to the rights BS hysteria about the issue.

He could have shoved through a universal healthcare plan, instead gave in to try and help the right deal with it and well, what we got was some hogwsh bill that neither side likes.

He could have ended the wars in the middle east...Instead he expanded one of them.

He could have invested massively in solar energy and cap and trade and battery tech, instead he gave in to the rights hysteria and went with Nuclear Power.

He could have ended off shore drilling...Instead he expanded it (until it blew up on him).

No, you are not talking about Obama, you are confusing him with his followers.

He obviously doesn't see healthcare as a "right," or else we'd all be covered by now wouldn't we? And this "progressive" taxation you speak of is merely letting some tax cuts expire like they were designed for. Obama no more wants to intervene in the economy than a Republican like Bush who started TARP.

Bro, if you want that man to do half of what you got in that list, you sure the HELL ain't an independent. Who, in their right mind, would stop offshore drilling? Do you not know how much revenue from the gov't that produces? You know, that stuff you love as an INDEPENDENT, taxes?

What independent wants him to, in your words, "shove through a universal health care plan?" WTF? :doh
