What the World Would Be Like If Everyone In The World Behaved Like the Catholic Saints.

It would be a fabulous world.

Everyone would be looking out for everyone. There would be very little government. Every social service need would be taken care of by volunteers. Health care would be one giant co-op. And those who couldn’t pull their share would be taken care of voluntarily by others. There would be little need for law enforcement. I say ‘little' because humans are still fallible and make mistakes. People would still make errors such as inadvertent traffic violations. There would still be mentally ill people who would do bad things. Some police would be needed to keep everyone safe. The little government needed would be for taking care of infrastructure. There would be no need for the military, scant need for regulatory bodies. Government would be extremely skeletal. This proves conservatism is God’s way. There would be no leftists, because greed, the desire to control, and selfishness would be at a minimum. There would only be an honest media, reporting facts straight down the middle. There would still be elections and differences in opinions on how to best handle issues. But all debate would be friendly and the overall goals the same. There would not be selfish ambition to secure power, rather; the desire to succeed politically would be solely to help the people. There would still be competition, but all accomplishments and accolades would be to glorify God.

There would be no divorce, no abortion, no birth control. It would be a well-managed population because people would be looking out for others first. There would be many many Catholic churches, throngs attending daily Mass, many priests and sisters, only Catholic schools. No government schools. No poverty, except that that is self-imposed. No abortions, few unwed mothers. There would be nobody living in luxury. Very little obesity. There would be far less junk food and sugary snacks. Fewer health problems because most people would be treating their bodies as temples. There would be fewer temptations, no porn industry, no gambling industry. There would still be accidents, natural disasters, disease, epidemics, depression, and congential maladies. But some suffering would be welcomed and used as a positive, and many volunteers would be on hand, helping to minimize that suffering.

There would be plenty of parties and celebrations, but without drunkenness. There would be plenty of family fun, board games, dinners, puzzles, happiness, laughter. Loneliness would at be a minimum because there would always be people reaching out.

Oh, sure there would be sin, because that is man’s nature. But everybody would be working hard to curb sin in themselves. In short, all the evil we have now would be reduced to very little. All the good we have now would be greatly expanded.

We should each work to make ourselves like one of the canonized saints. Our goal should be perfect. Our goal should be to do as much to help others as we possibly can. We will fall short, but that should be our goal.

If only it were so easy!

Regardless, I'm with you here. Everyone should try to idealize & model themselves after the saints. But, easy it's not.

Many of the Saints would want a Fascist censorship of the media and entertainment industry, ban on abortion, ban on gay marriage, ban on pornography, a modest dress code, prayer in schools, and many Saints would not be in favor of Democracy.

For countless centuries the Pope crowned Kings, Queens, and Holy Roman Emperors to rule absolute Theocracy, absolute Monarchy. It was quite Fascist in it's essence.

In fact, the knights of Columbus, the largest Apostolate in Catholicism has the symbol of Fascism, the Fasces, as the symbol for their order.

Don't forget Pope Pius 11 called the founder of Fascism, "the man of Providence", and Independent Vatican City state was created by a Fascist regime.

Let's not pretend many of these Saints were not truly Fascist in their nature.

Here is what a Saint looks like. A true defender of the Church if there ever was one:

There would in fact be abortion. Ciarán of Saigir for example performed an abortion himself. There are also 3 patron saints of beer(Nicholas, Luke and Augustine), so there probably would be some wild parties.

So there were Saints who performed abortions?

What would the world be like if everyone behaved like Buddha?

What would the world be like if everyone behaved like Gandhi?

What would the world be like if everyone behaved like Lao Tzu?

What would the world be like if everyone behaved like the Dalai Lama?

What would the world be like if everyone stopped behaving like humans and started behaving more like manatees or pandas?

What would the world be like if everyone stopped trying to force their religious bullshit on everyone around them???

Of course, we'd also die off in a generation or so. It's hard to picture Catholic Saints having much nookie.
Of course they would. St Elizabeth Ann Seton had five kids.

There would still be sin, just much much less of it

Aids would be rampant. Much better to get aids than to use a condom. No birth control = more catholics = more money for the church. They could use a bit of cash, the up keep on all of that property isn't cheap.

I notice you didn’t list a “What would the world be like if everyone behaved like atheists? I think we have a glimpse of that with North Korea. But it would be much much worse.
As for the non Christian sects, it would it would be better than with atheists but there would be much greater sin since sects like Buddhism are done with acts the RCC considers sinful like abortion and birth control. Also, any world that doesn’t believe in Jesus is doomed
So there were Saints who performed abortions?
I don’t know if that’s true, but there are canonized saints who were sinners but repented and became saints. They had a long road to hoe to make the comeback. But it can be done

Very few people would have illicit sex so AIDS wouldn’t be a problem

There wouldn’t be the security needs for popes that require edifices. But there would still be crazies, so some security might be required. But people wouldn’t be living in luxury just as the pope isn’t now

Yep. Those giant mansions catholic leaders live in surrounded by priceless jewels and works of art are all for security reasons. Lol

The works of art were donations to God. They aren’t owned by any one man. They enrich everyone’s lives. They would continue in a world of all saints
