What should be done about prostitution?

Make it legal and regulate it just like any other business.

There's absolutely no logical reason it should be illegal in the first place. We all "whore" ourselves out for various things. We do 'this' to get 'that'. We sell our skills, our bodies, our services at work every single day. Why in the world is sex any different? Short answer: It's not.

The only reason it's not legal yet is because of religious reasons. Eventually it will be legal in many more places than just parts of Nevada, as we steadily eliminate religious idealogies from our laws.

You do not have to be religious in order to hope your daugher doesn't grow up to be a prostitute.

WHile there are many reasons to wish for your daughter nt to be a prostitute, the anti-prostitution laws had a religious origin.

Even if that's true, so what? You don't have to be religious to support prostitution laws. There are some things our society doesn't want to support as acceptable behavior. What if someone felt they wanted to walk around naked all the time, everywhere? They're not necessarily harming anyone so why should there be indecent exposure laws? There is nothing wrong with outlawing behavior we deem as socially unacceptable and one need not be religious to deem certain behaviors unacceptable.

I can attest to the fact that I can not wait til the day comes when i can walk down the street with my 8 year old daughter and every guy on the street is walking around with his tool fully exposed and at half mast

I agree 100%. There should not be "indecent exposure" laws either.

And here is where the torches under my name, and the elephant under your's come into conflict.

This is one of those things where our fundamental philosophies are so differant that any argument we could have about it would be just us butting ideological heads. i believe that anything that harms no-one or yourself is fine, you believe that certain actions are inherently immoral.

I do, however, respect your opiion, and though I believe it to be incorrect, I cannot say withcertainty that mine is correct either.

I get what you're saying completely. But just to be clear I don't think running around naked would be immoral so much as I just don't want to have to deal with looking at a bunch of fat a$$es! More of an aesthetics thing vs "morals". But I get your point totally.

if you don't like it, it's your problem, not theirs.

uh oh, I'm off topic.

Legalize it. Regulate it.

Create a 'red light' district in certain sections of the city's. Make it illegal to operate outside these districts.

Peace
