DO you really want to get into my personal life and choices?Which one will you adopt ?

First, the demise of Roe V Wade does not force any woman to go through with her pregancy. It simply returns the issue to the states. Some states will have more restrictions then others, however abortion was not nationally deemed illegal. Second you assumption that every woman who does give birth to a child they did not want is going to treat it poorly, is ludicrous. With few exceptions they either keep the baby, love it and take good care of it or offer it for adoption.
Most kids between 10 and 17
What happened next stunned the former state senator. It wasn't infants, but kids and teens being abandoned, many at hospital emergency wards. Most were between the ages of 10 and 17.
Laura Peet-Erkes worked on the front lines as a social worker at one of those hospitals, Creighton University in Omaha. She said one or two kids got dropped off every week. She can't remember getting any infants.
"Some of the kids were dropped off and walked in by their parents who gave us an extensive history about everything that they'd been dealing with ... [T]here were other parents who literally dropped their kids off and drove away," she said.
You asked and even looked up the children who were waiting to be adopted , so I thought you might be interested.DO you really want to get into my personal life and choices?
Heartbreaking. You are also assuming much that it's only a few exceptions.
I remember back when Nebraska enacted a state "safe haven" law but forgot to add in specifically it was for infants within 30 days only and we had people flying in from all over dumping their kids, many teens. Let's not be naive and pretend the majority of people will fall in love with the baby and not resent what they didn't even want.
You attempted to link abortion to the number of kids in foster care. There is no connection. As the link you provided shows, there are few babies under a year available for adoption. You asked and even looked up the children who were waiting to be adopted , so I thought you might be interested.
Anyway, kids of all ages are in need of adoption.
They should be considered also.
As an aside my nephew was 4 years old when he was adopted.
curious. how many special needs children are you raising as a foster parent?First, the demise of Roe V Wade does not force any woman to go through with her pregancy. if those foster kids are not adopted by age 8 they will likely age out in foster careActually , only one percent of U.S. women give a newborn up for adoption.

The New Question Haunting Adoption
At a glance, America’s shortage of adoptable babies may seem like a problem. But is adoption meant to provide babies for families, or families for babies?www.theatlantic.com
Also : According to the latest statistics the majority of children waiting to be adopted spend between two and five years in the foster care system while they wait and generally the older they are the less likely they are to be adopted

Well said.
There are 450,000 kids currently in foster care…
Those of you who are happy about Roe being overturned
please reach out to CPS to foster a child.![]()
How many babies? Under a year?
I would never place a child for adoption. You would never adopt a child?

It is a relatively few exceptions. You are also assuming much that it's only a few exceptions.

Racism strawman...Nothing will be done to help the children or the mothers. These are mostly poor black and brown kids and moms so who cares? /sarc
I don't know, it only seems fair at this point, doesn't it?DO you really want to get into my personal life and choices?
It is a relatively few exceptions.
When you start seeing the unwanted as deserving death a dangerous world you have created. With respect:
In all seriousness:
I'm asking these questions again. What are the plans for dealing withpregnant girls, women, fetuses, andformerly unwanted babies?
Again, seriously, although this probably won't seem serious:
Are the babies going to be raised by religious conservative families? Is the bottom line that religious conservatives are trying to change their voting bloc from a minority to a majority by seizing the fruits of the means of reproduction?
Perhaps in your world. In my world most babies are born into loving families. I was one of the second babies you speak of. Perahps you are speaking of life in the inner cities where families have been destroyed by decades of perhaps well intentioned but disasterous LBJ era Great Society programs?I'd like to be a naive optimist too and think, except for a few exceptions, babies are born to loving families or the second a baby is born they receive the care and love they deserve but I think reality is a lot colder and depressing.

To be honest, many children born into loving familes are not planned and for the most part it's not a problem. As for parents changing partners and lack of family values, that unfortunately does occur and often with negative consequences for children.I hope on topics like this I am actually wrong. I just think of how many kids (that I know) are not really planned, parents changing partners, and just a general lack of family values all around.
Geographically, Southern states tend to have the highest percentage of single-parent households, with Louisiana leading the nation at just over 40 percent. Mississippi, South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, and Georgia all report percentages of at least 35 percent.Perhaps in your world. In my world most babies are born into loving families. The worst of it is in the inner cities in every state.Geographically, Southern states tend to have the highest percentage of single-parent households, with Louisiana leading the nation at just over 40 percent. You should stop eating them.I would need crayons and I don't have any
since you chose to address the reality we are facing, about one out of five pregnancies is aborted. there were 3.6 million children born in 2020. had abortions not been available to mothers that year, 4.5 million babies would have been born. after the supreme court decision, we will now be looking at up to 900,000 babies born to mothers who do not want to birth those children in addition to the number of children who ordinarily enter department of social services custody annuallyI'd like to be a naive optimist too and think, except for a few exceptions, babies are born to loving families or the second a baby is born they receive the care and love they deserve but I think reality is a lot colder and depressing.
