Anti-American is the following:
  • People that have a blind allegiance to the flag

  • To me Anti-American is the following:

People who start wars based on lies.
People who call anyone that disagrees with them "lefties."
People who deny people the right to a speedy trial.
People who illegally wiretap other Americans.
People who permit, condone and partake in torture.
People who believe everything Bush tells them.
People who say "You Can't Support Our Troops if You Do Not Support their Mission."
People who want the government to regulate your freedom to choose Abortion.
    Oil Companies
    Dick Cheney
    Karl Rove
    Alberto Gonzales
People who believe Everything Rush Limbaugh says.
People who want to censor Hollywood or any other media
    People who are bigots
People who are bigots against Muslims
People who want to kill people without trials.

Yea, part of your pattern of sensitivity about the US, part of all you guys oversensitivness about the US. Part of how you are all unable of critisizing the US yourself. Part of how you take everything as anti-American unless its for purpose of glorifying the US.

Speaking for myself, only, I will criticize US policy when I disagree with it. My problem with your postings are your consistent overgeneralizations of the US, your off-hand negative comments about the US, when it has no connection to the thread or discussion, your overgeneralizations of Americans, and your condescending comments about the US and America in general. Sometimes you debate, and when you do, you create no problems. Mostly, you incite, and problems ensue.

I never post UNFACTUAL things about the US.

I'm not planning on going through all your past posts, but, moving forward, let's see if you keep true to this.

What is anti-American? I would say the following is ant-American.

1.siding with our enemies.
2.allowing our country to be invade by illegals.
3.Rooting and or cheering for our enemies.
4.Encouraging our enemies.
5.Airing enemy propaganda.

I do agree with those, yes.

Anyone else wonder why Maximus made a thread that he knew damn well would lead to a discussion of himself?

What an egotistical kid.

Isn't there someone else in this forum that does just that? ;)

Looking at the current poll results, I have to ask the question:

You're standing on the bank of a river. A neocon
and a suicide bomber are drowning just 10 feet away.
Now you have a tough decision to make.
Do you:
  • Take a walk?
  • Take a nap?
Hey, I'm always up for a nap.

I was thinking about this last night, and I came up with what I feel an anti-american is. And I will use two of our liberal posters here in comparison to show the difference.

I believe that Maximus Zeebra is Anti-American, and that Billo Really is not Anti-American.

Now here is how I came to these different conclusions about two types of people that I readily disagree with on US affairs, particularly in foreign affairs(WOT, War in Iraq, US foreign policy etc...).

Both are critical of US foreign policy, both hate Bush and his admin, and probably share alot in common when it comes to US involvement overseas.

Here is the difference. I believe that Billo, and those like him, are critical of the US and its current state because, in their hearts, they want America to be better than what she is. I may disagree with him on how we acheive this, but the end results that both him and I want are the same, a better America and a better world.

Maximus and others like him, I believe are looking for every reason and any story they can, that supports their belief that the downfall of America is imminent and that we will no longer be a force in the world. He would be all to happy if the US took a nosedive economically, industrially, and militarily. I don't think he wishes the destruction of the US, but he does not want it to become better than it is. Now Maximus isn't even American, so its unfair to expect him to be Pro-America, since he should have pride in his homeland as well. But that doesn't mean he needs to cling to anti-american sentiment, just as I as an American am not anti-french or anti-spain, even though I disagree with their policies. I would like to see them grow and become better countries too.

That is why it is my opinion that Maximus is anti-american, and someone like Billo is not, even though I disagree with both on alot of things.

Man, thats what I want too.. Is that anti American? Maybe the difference is that since I am not American I have kind of given up on America, I have kind of realized its just going ......................

I want the US to start focusing on home affairs. I want the US to fucus on things like social justice at home, getting people off the streets, and making life better and easier for Americans. I want them to have a functioning health system and a different education system. I want American to be free and open minded, free-thinkers rather than uniform thinkers.

One thing might be the difference, I am not pro-American in the way that I want America to succeed greatly, because I am European, I would rather see Europe succeed more, Europe first.

This however doesnt make me anti-American in my opinion. You cannot judge my thoughts based on YOUR preception of what I write.

Sure I can. Who's going to stop me

And for further discussion, who the hells perception am I supposed to use when judging another?? I only have my own......

Jesus.

But seriously folks.

The way I see it. We're not having any of our (Muslim) youngsters running around and burning cars because we're not providing them with enough opportunity. So by my standards we're doing just find with making life easier for Americans. America is the only country in the world where your bank account have have $280 then a million the next. Why do you think it's called the American dream? and not the Canadian dream? Or the French dream? Or the European dream? A different education system? You'd have to have to have been educated here to try and judge that. Same for the health system.

No its not, you can have 1€ in your bank 1 day in Europe and 1 million the next, its not something American in that.

The "American dream" is falling apart, its becoming an illusion.. The new dream is the European dream if you ever heard of that. I suggest you find some information about it, it might enlighten you. The American dream is something of the past, the most selfish dream in history, no one outside the US is even mentioning an American dream anymore, all they talk about it how the US has become something awful and what needs to change.

People are more and more overlooking America when talking about the future now, everyone is talking about how we can fix the problems of the world, and a dream where everyone helps each other and make life prosperous for everyone. Much based on a European version of reality. Bring the good to everyone, not just yourself..

Check it out, the European dream, google it, whatever, thats what people around the world talk about now except in the US.

Maximus, I gave you a thanks on your post for one reason.

You have summed up what an Anti-American is better than any of us could have ever done. All one needs to do is read that last post of yours to know.....

Its ****ING reality man, its not my opinion..

Its what all people talk about(except in the US).. After 911, the American dream is dead, no one except Mexicans want to go to the US anymore.

Keep going, you are doing great Maximus. Time to get that "Death to America" sign out of your closet and hit the streets. You are finally free.......

For what it's worth, Maxi's not making this s.h.i.t up!

Sure he is. I was in Australia, they didn't hate America or think our time was over...

I guess Aussies aren't a part of the "all people" equation...

Years ago, I had a Kiwi for a roomate. He told me not to believe anything an aucker says. He hated Australians.

I asked him one time how New Zealand and Australia get along. He replied, "About as good as Northern and Southern Californians."

I never said I was an expert at the US because I had been there 6 months. In fact I never said I was an expert about the US.. This is just a tragic way of debating, putting words on other peoples mouths and proclaiming what they think..
Wow, how ****ing annoying.

Do you wonder why I get frustrated with people like hatman and vadeross?

I would humbly say that I know more about the US than many Amerians.
But you do know what's good for it though, right?

Wow, you take things so literally, maybe this is why you never learn anything other than your own ideas.

besides I never said it was about hating the US, its about how the US is FAILING and how its becoming bad instead of good. Thats got nothing to do with hating he US.

Do you really have to misunderstand everything I say?

Perhaps... But thats not really for me to judge, US politicians have to find out that.

Don't worry Maximus, you'll come around. Europe is just the retarded child of the US and we try to make point out where it goes wrong, even over it's tantrums.

I never said I was an expert at the US because I had been there 6 months. In fact I never said I was an expert about the US..

Didn't you make some thread a while back that claimed the US was on the verge of breaking apart, owing to the vast cultural differences between the regions (which don't actually exist) that you discovered during your short stay in this country?

Nah, we are the brain, the US is the muscle, this is the way our alliance will have to work in the immediate future.

Besides, the US dint create Europe, Europe created the US. Americans are just a different generations of Europeans, actually a very recent one.
