Didn't you make some thread a while back that claimed the US was on the verge of breaking apart, owing to the vast cultural differences between the regions (which don't actually exist) that you discovered during your short stay in this country?

Nah, I never said that.

Find me a post where i said "because I lived in the US half a year i think the US will break apart from regional differences"..

Good luck;; You twist the truth and confuse different posts and make them seem like related when they are absolutely not.

Is there a chance that any of the US 50 states might break away? especially considering California as a first alternative state who would try something like this. If California tried, what would top the Yankee states from trying? Northeast US turning into one country of their own.

Is there any chance that there will be a break up of the federal Unites states in the future, where it might become 49 states or 45 states or divide into several countries/entities/federal states?

You guys are so unsimilar, what do a guy in New York have in common with someone from Texas? What do a guy in Montana have in common with someine from California?

Just, out of all the options, if you think there is a chance the US as 50 states will not last, vote for "break up" and explain. If you believe the US will remain as it is vote no.

Alright. It's obvious you think you're an expert on the U.S.when you dare to imply that because of regional differences some people in America have nothing in common or very little. Thats like saying that because I live in the Alps and you live in Berlin we've got very little in common. I think it's very obvious that Americans need very little to be united as a country. The best example of this is 9/11 or Katrina. American unity shines when there is a national disaster in America or outside of our borders. We forget our cultural, religious and social differences just to help out those in need. It doesn't matter if they're Muslims Christians, Jews Hindus or Buddhist. It's sad that in your visit to America you failed to realize this.

Anti-American is the following:
  • People that have a blind allegiance to the flag
  • People that support legislation that compromises the Constitution.
  • People that support un-provoked armed aggression.
  • People that do not take the time to become well informed on the issues before they vote.
  • People that want to build a wall across the border.
  • People that want to combine Church and State.
  • People that are intolerant to other nations and cultures
  • People that say, "I'm a god-damn American!"
The list is a lot longer, but I'm getting tired.

Hm, building a wall across a border is conductive to securing that border, which of course serve to secure the country. Therefore, according to you, securing the country is anti-American. Given your premise, Bush is the biggest patriot ever, having signed the NAFTA treaty, which sells out our sovereignty.

I grew up during the era of the Iron Curtain. The last thing I want to see in my country is another Berlin Wall! In addition, I think this whole immigration issue is bullshit. I do not feel threatened by people wanting a better life for themselves by coming to the land of opportunity. If we build a wall, then we might as well take down that plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Because we didn't mean it!

If you want to limit un-documented workers, you go after the company's that hire them. It's the basic law of supply-demand. If these company's didn't offer the jobs, they wouldn't be coming to this country.

This is all going to be a moot point anyway
with all the outsourcing going on.

I agree with you that immigration is a good thing. I think we need more of it.

I don't understand how you can be opposed to outsourcing if you support immigration though. Why support the free flow of labor, but not the free flow of capital? They're two sides of the same coin: free trade.

Selfishness!

I've only been on un-employment twice
since 1973 and I didn't like it.

No paycheck, no party!
