What happens if Trump gets elected?

If Trump gets elected.. the first he will do is invade Scotland to defend his golf courses. Then he will divorce his wife and take a trip to eastern Europe.. lets call it a "Freedom tour 2017" and find another hot young eastern European bride.... that is if he does not make incest legal in the US and marry his daughter.

He will also start wars around the world to get back at people who made fun of him.

Good. He will do all of those, but first he will declare himself infallible, and not just ex cathedra either. He plans to win all competitions!

Waking up and Trump has runaway with another GOP primary. It's looking more and more likely that he's going to be the man for the Republicans and he has a very good chance at getting elected.
As Brits/Europeans what do we make of this and how will our governments respond? I mean this is a man I associate with Scottish golf courses and he could potentially be in charge of the most powerful nuclear arsenal on earth plus all the US armed forces on our soil. In a time of political unrest in the middle East and with Russia what harm could this do? From an outside point of view America had regressed significantly over the past 8 years in terms of global influence and now it looks like they are losing their minds....Time to start investing in defence.

From a European angle, that would be smart policy. Expect Erratic, wildly - jumping American foreign policy, with the distinct possibility of Trade Wars. One day we may demand that either you join us in bombing Russia, or we bomb you - the next we might demand that you cease your aggression against Putin, who has said very nice things about us on television, or we will try to crash your economy.

I'm really sorry about this. :(

On the whole, I don't think America is that stupid. He will not get in because he won't persuade enough Democrats.

If he doesn't get in, and America instead puts Hillary on the throne, I think that will show that "stupid" would have been a step UP

Trump is pandering to mainly white voters.
Clinton mainly minority voters.
Statistically, there are still more white voters.

This is the first true race race for the Presidential office imo.

Since the black vote is no longer energized from 8 years of Obama....and whites are finally energized and will vote in large numbers for a change....
And even though many Bernie supporters will vote for Hillary just because they are mad that Bernie was bypassed (ironic they reward the system that cheated them after all (smart? Not really))

I can confidently predict that Trump will win the Presidency in the up coming general election....mainly due to voter turn out

I can also predict that as President he will do no worse than the last half dozen who've lived at 1600. Maybe slightly better.

My crystal ball has never been wrong. All you have to do is look a simple human dynamics. It's easy.

Casinos! Casinos everywhere!

The winner of the Miss USA Pageant also gets to be the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and much like North Korean men are required to have the haircut of Kim Jong-un, all American men will be required to rock the comb over.

Happy days!

Trump does NOT rock the combover, he Frankenstiens it

If electing Trump is what it takes to get Europe and the world to take care of their own problems militarily then I'll be sure to vote for his daughter and SONS if they decide to run.

The problem is that America has forward operating bases all throughout Europe which in turn makes these countries potential targets.

Not just democrats, the entire Latino population hates him and he will lose on that margin alone.

You sure?

Of the Latino Republican caucus-goers who responded to the exit poll, 45% of respondents said they supported Trump, compared to the 28% who supported Rubio and the 18% who supported Cruz.

(Nevada)

Latino voters in the GOP may like him but it doesnt take into account what the general voting population will be doing during a presidential election.

He will fire the world. :D
Is there seriously panic on this level. Seriously?
Trump is a businessman. He is not a warrior or even a war hero. He will think of things in the bottom line.

I don't support nor want Trump as my president but by the gods stop shivering in your boots over anything that isn't status quo.

I mean, if Rowan Arkinson suddenly found himself a seat on Parliament then it would definitely raise my eyebrows but I wouldn't go into this brand of full blown hysterics over it.

How have you responded to Obama? When he was first elected he was the new messiah. Then in 2009 he made his trip to Europe and the Europeans saw him stripped down and exposed in all his glory. Has he really EVER had any credibility on the EU stage (I mean...come on...presiding over a ****ty economy and telling the EU to get its **** together...THAT went over really well). Does Europe trust Obama and foreign policy? DO they trust him as an ally?

So...really...you will just have to deal with a more bombastic version of Obama (as opposed to Hillary or Bernie who you may very well have to deal with).

Who knows...if he wins...he may actually be effective. The guy is a douche...no doubt. But he has been an effective business man with global connections.

Trump (IF elected...thats that big IF) will soon realize...he is 'just' the President. There are lots of things he says that he wont be able to do anything about.

Frankly...I think people should be more concerned about a President Sanders. He will be beyond gutless. He will make our allies weaker...more vulnerable.

Greetings, PoS. :2wave:

It seems to me, at this point in time, that most people feel they would be treated more fairly by Trump as POTUS than any other candidate. Now that could also mean everyone would be considered no more than a serf by Trump, but until he decides to get more specific in what he plans to do overall, they seem to like what they hear from him.

The people who work in Trump's businesses seem well paid and reasonably happy with him, but could government be run like a business? It would be an interesting experiment, since Trump apparently has little use for those who do not strive to personally succeed, so a big change in mindset from those who are accustomed to letting the government take care of them might be coming. Our infrastructure needs lots of work, which translates to lots of jobs for those willing to work to get ahead, so who knows?

Seems like Turkey is a target of Putin's right now without any assistance from the USA. Me thinks the problem for Europe is not to the West but is in the same place it always has been, the East.

JFK brought the world back from the brink

JFK brought the world to the brink. He dropped the ball in Cuba during the Bay of Pigs allowing communism a foot hold on our door step. He was so busy chasing women around the Oval Office or stoned he allowed the Russians to place over a 125 Nuclear missiles on our doorstep pointed down our throat. He didn't back the Russians down (the lie he told the American People) but pulled our missiles out of Turkey in a back room deal put forth by the Russians. He was no doubt a Clinton class liar. Clearly one of the best.

The world could only dream of another JFK[/QUOTE]

A bad dream. Where the son of a gangster buys the presidency and nearly gets the country involved in a nuclear war because of his incompetence. The only saving grace is he reaped what he sowed.

Hmmm, let's see, Perot created a new party (Independents) that Americans have been flocking to in increasing numbers.

Seriously man, I know it's a long shot conspiracy theory but I would not put it past Clinton to plant Trump in the GOP and play the role he is playing. I trust both Clinton and Trump about as far as I can throw them. It would surprise me none it we found out they were both in cahoots to get Hillary elected. Not saying I actually believe they are, just saying I wouldn't put it past either of them.

I agree both are so corrupt it could be possible.
I could actually see it starting off that way, then Trump started doing better than he expected so he decided screw Hillary I want to win the prize.
Not a CTer and dont actually believe Trumps ego would even allow him to play second fiddle to anyone but when you have such dishonest people running....

Then again, maybe I have watched too many episodes of House of Cards. I dunno.

Things are never what they seem, it seems. (Was that a convoluted double negative?)

That was floated a lot when Trump entered the race. It floated and sank pretty quickly because it became apparent it was just another miscue.

A seat in Parliament and the presidency of the strongest military power of earth are rather different things, and what have you got against Rowan Atk(?)inson? Compared with Trump he is a Philosopher-King, if you want such things.
