What Ever Became of George W. Bush?

Iraq getting human rights and democracy, ending the sanctions and having development projects instead, no more genocide... That's getting punked? I was never scared of Saddam and couldn't care less about his WMDs. I think I got my money's worth. It sure beats buying a bankrupt car company and failed banks.

The sign of an Islamic country going into full scale meltdown is when the other "people's of the book", Christians and Jews, start running for their lives. That was one of the consequences of the Iraq Wars.....................

You sound like a regular human rights maven. Which of the dozens of other non-democratic human rights violaters do you suggest we invade next and set up another Abu Garib in?

Yes, well, I served and I've done development work in Africa.

Iran. This is the obvious choice. They have the infrastructure, remaining social capital (unlike Saddam's Iraq) and natual resources to nation build. With its oil sales going to schools, roads and development projects, Iran could develop like an Asian Tiger. And that rogue nuke thing. And they perpetuate Hamas, Hez, Assad and African dictators/terrorists. So let's recap:

1. Possess the necessary basics to nation build itself for the most part.
2. Rogue nukes.
3. Sponsor of major terrorists.

Who do you think would be a better choice?

It could be a walk in the park. But "Persia" has always been one of the antiWestern vortices, even before there was a Jesus...................

Well, it's about time that Persia rose again to join the great nations and contribute globally. Do you have a better choice for the next nation build? I'm thinking maybe Canada or Australia; we gotta overthrow the monarchy and install proper culture in those boondocks.

I think we should rename the U.S Military to "Invasions R Us" and sell them out to the highest bidder. We really need the cash right now. We can save the pro bono stuff for later.

So, are you gonna tell us your choice or not.

No, you gotta pick one country. If we had to invade and nation build one country, which would it be. Maybe give us your top 5. C'mon, guys, you're gonna ask me questions and then, after I answer, you're not gonna play. This is boring.

I would never favor any invasion unless it was a joint U.N. sanctioned mission like Kuwait. We lost our shirts in Iraq. No nation building abroad while our own crumbles from neglect, silly.

Ok. Russia-------------Under the banner of "There's No Excuse For Total Idiocy"........................

You guys are like people who play spin the bottle and then refuse. I answered your question (rather well, I might add). Your turn.

How about Cuba? That's more our speed than Iran.

I could agree to that if the Iranian regime were not roging nukes and supplying Hamas, Hez, Assad and others. In fact, I'll compromise. If Iran were to abandon enrichment, agree to a uranium exchange program and allow inspectors full access, then we can do Cuba instead. Deal?

I think the sanctions will force Iran to the table with in the year and they will decide to abandon their nuclear ambitions eventually. I would settle for just a lifting of the trade and travel embargos on Cuba. That is what has kept Castro in power so long. He blames everything in is failed regime on the U.S. and we help keep him in power by proving him right with our embargos.

I don't see a reason to engage Castro economically. Starvation ain't big there and we let refugees stay. Why does he need us so much if we're just filthy capitalistas? What has kept Cuba so poor is a totalitarian regime that denies any diversity politically. Its the social equivalent of a monoculture enforced unnaturally, unsustainably and at everyone's expense.

Should we blame the failure of dictators on the free world? It's not like they're not invited; they just gotta stop the king stuff and work on human rights.

What has kept Cuba poor is dictatorial socialism.

Wow...four and a half years under a politically stupid monarch-wannabe, and they're still scapegoating Bush.

Well...I totally blame JFK for the Vietnam War then. Lyndon Johnson wouldn't have started it, if he weren't JFK's VP.

James Buchanan was so horrible, that half the country seceded. Totally Buchanan's fault. We could have avoided the Civil War if not for this one guy.

Woodrow Wilson was also totally to blame for WWI. Three hundred thousand died because of him.

Oh...and let's not forget the Democrat "Golden Boy" FDR. He was solely to blame for WWII. A million people died because of him.

Gee...scapegoating is fun!!

He tries to do thing for wounded Warriors on a face to face basis. He and Laura did that when they were in the WH but wouldn't take the press along and hardly spoke of it because they consider those interactions personal.

Since Bush's Iraqi fiasco is why so many of them are now wounded warriors, it's the least he can do.

so why isn't Obama doing the same for all the wounded warriors he's created in Afghanistan?

So you admit it was Bush that created the fiasco in Iraq. Finally!
