What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Husband is out of town for a few days. Went to the market for muffins and came home with oysters, baby reds and a baguette. Roasted oysters, butter, bread on the grill and ice tea, with Masterpiece theater.

A salad, an ear of corn and an impossible burger.

95° and very humid kills any form of appetite or desire I have to cook. I wish those area had a taco truck because 2 tacos and elotes sounds really good.
According to me, that IS cooking.

No ac? Be careful!

I have the AC turned up so the interior temp is 72-75°. Its going to be +95° today and tomorrow.

Curry/rice/naan sounds good but I dont want 3 pans and slaving over a hot stove for an hour.

Meatballs, roasted carrots, and Cheddar Bay Biscuits. You can buy a box and make them yourself now, and they are very decent. I ate three of the ****ers. We skipped the butter sauce because they didn't need them and we didn't need the calories.

I feel that way about ketchup (except on a Quarter Pounder).

I feel like ketchup was invented to go on burgers and fries. (I know that's not true tho :)) The world would be a different place if we didnt have ketchup for burgers and fries. I could use loads of other sauces for just about everything else!

If no ketchup then mayo is my go to.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Straight mayo on a burger is worse than mustard! Unless it's mixed with something else to become a "sauce."

I just find plain mayo mixed with lettuce or tomato or cheese kinda icky. Hey, no one said it has to make sense ;)

I’m ordering a pizza for kid and will see what I can get for Pop.

It’s way too hot to turn on the oven or stand over a stove. Spent the day at the pool (again) and I came home, opened the fridge, looked at the chicken I have defrosted and said “nope”

😂

Different strokes for different folks.😎

I agree with you about fries--a match made in heaven. Hot crispy fries swiped in a pile of cool, spicy ketchup.

Tuna salad....in a big salad, not the stuff you put on a sandwich...was a big go-to for hot night dinners growing up. And make your own tacos.

You've all gotten me hungry, so I'm debating...I think it's going to be a tossed salad, maybe a can of sardines with a little horseradish, and then...ICE CREAM!!!

Or I'll just grab a seltzer water and skip dinner entirely.
