Yeah, he was uncomfortable with stardom, from what I've heard.

But here he is with another legend of Australian music:

I don't wonder that he was. It's an awful price to pay for doing something one loves and has a talent for. I know lots of people have no sympathy for that point of view, but oh well.

Good performance! :) I'm off...later guys! :)

If it and when comes time to meet my maker, this is the tune I want to be played.

This scene really but a choke on me... great scene... a very surreal

I listen to mostly old school Country Music, with some modern day Country matured artist.

Would never listen to annoying noise from Lady GaGa - Justin Bieber - Kattie Perry - Justin Timberlake or any Afro American R&B / Rap Crap.

Anyone in the mood for a little jazz?

I studied jazz saxophone privately with this cat at the Hartt School when I was younger - to this day, I wish I was a tenth as good as he was. He was often imitated, but never duplicated - RIP, Jackie....

-great concert

I agree wholeheartedly. I have got to get my hands on the song you posted just before this one.

Weird. The person who put the song on Youtube said it was done by Richie Sanborn. When I go to iTunes, I don't find it by Richie, but I do find it by David Sanborn. Oh well, I bought that version. Thanks Red Crow for posting it. I now have to check out the entire album by David Sanborn. Great song!

Higher and Higher - Jackie Wilson
-not sure why I love this song so much, perhaps because it grew up watching Ghostbusters 2

Here's a couple songs featuring James Taylor and another great saxophonist - a saxophonist who died way too young and was light years ahead of his time:

I'm off for the day now (my parents' anniversary today - helping them celebrate)... Thanks for posting, everyone! I've enjoyed y'alls songs very much today. :)

If you are not familiar with Steve Tyrell, I recommend his music. If you do not know who Steve is, think Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride II. My wife and I have seen him in concert four times. We love his music. He was married to his wife, Stephanie, who died of colon cancer in 2003. This song was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Steve used to work for Burt. This song must have been hard for him to sing, but, while sad, it is a gorgeous song.
