Because I care about you and want you to be happy. :)
Great to see another Eric Burdon fan!

I've been looking for an excuse to post one of my favorite videos of his.

It's got:

- Eric
- A great below the Mason Dixon Line old blues based tune
- Tasty old-school guitar licks on a vintage axe & amp
- Shot in-period in black & white

How can it get better than that?

Only way that can get better is them performing live at the vintage guitar show Im going to tomorrow.

the charlotte show this weekend?

Costa Mesa, SoCAL World Guitar Show

Never been before. Might sell my 54 silvertone and pick up a few pedals.

I have a friend whos a pickup winder/luthier/tech so he gets invites and I tag along.

Maybe I will get to see some old blackguard teles, those are kinda my thing right now but I love vintage guitars and gear.

any pedals you are looking for in particular?

the best sounding guitar i have is a nocaster; understand your fondness for blackguards

my technique - will use it sunday - is to show up two hours before the show ends with however much cash i have to play with. the vendors like not having to pack up and haul their inventory. they also like having a few more bucks to show for their weekend. that seems to be when they are most ready to cut a deal

hope you are able to move your guitar and find a deal on the pedals

another cover from umphrey's mcgee ... would put them in risky's cover thread but neither meets the criteria to be better than the original

Yeah Ive heard that before, truthfully Im more looking to unload the stuff. Currently (loosely) saving for a vintage tele, even if a refin. Ive tried an actual nocaster, a few years back at guitar center hollywood, 45K and just ok. I like my tele better.

Heres some good vintage stuff...
