Trend Micro.
have used them for years. Sometimes they are rated high, some years not so well. Yet have not had any malware/virus problems with my pc.

My latest computer came with Webroot. It seems to work just fine. I'll letcha' know. Ha! Before that, I used Avast and will probably go back to it when Webroot expires. I assume it will.

Microsoft Security Essentials

I use AVG free with zone alarm free firewall. I was using McAfee for awhile because my cable internet company provided it for free and I was thinking that since it is a pay program then it must be better than the free stuff. But I kept getting this nasty virus or what ever that kept installing some anti-spyware on my PC that would pop up anytime I tried using firefox, internet explorer, Spybot S&D, or any other browser or anti-spyway/antivirus program. The first time this happened I used Malwarebytes in safe mode to get rid of it. then I got infected two more times with the 3rd time causing the BSOD every time I tried booting into regular mode. So I reinstalled windows and went back to using AVG free with Zone Alarm free firewall. Pretty sad when the free stuff works much better than the pay stuff. I have tried Norton but at the time it was a resource hog and I tried Kapersky and it expired.

I have read recent reviews that say Norton is no longer a resource hog, but I do not know that from experience.

Microsoft Security Essentials
Comodo firewall
Malwarebytes

I have that on my work computer. It seems to work pretty well. No complaints. I just think there is free software out there that does the same job.

I use McAfee. I get the corporate version for free, and I never have to renew it. I can also get Norton if I want it, but I just like McAfee, better. I have used Trend Micro, but always went back to either of the top 2.

Avast & Microsoft Security Essentials. Hardware firewall.

Thats what I was going to do, but I liked webroot so well..I stuck with them. (I got mine with my pc too)

It isn't to much of a resource hog on a modern machine. Im not sure I would want to try and run it on a Pentium 3 machine however. I have also had software conflicts with norton that would blue screen me so I no longer use it.

I use the Microsoft firewall. I used to use Zonealarm until I went with XP X64 bit, and that threw a monkey wrench into the works since the app didn't support the 64 bit version. I have noticed on occasion getting a message, telling me that my firewall is turned off. Yet, when I check, the firewall is still enabled. Has anyone got that kind of error message? I know most of you are probably using Windows 7, but I am slow to change. I will use XP for as long as I can.

Once I pull it out, I dip it into a jar full of bleach, then I dip it in alcohol...

Wait, is this about computers?

Never mind.

AVG with Malware Bytes. Both Free. Both are updated regularly.

same here.

i hear good things about Kapersky, also, but have not yet used it.

I had AVG and Malware Bytes on my PC

I now have a free virus program (Name I can't remember) from the mac app store on my Mac. I know there's less virus's for the system but I figure better safe than sorry
