Western Kentucky Professor: Trump's victory signals that human decency is no longer an American virtue

Wow! What a stupid comment! I guess this is a public admission on your part that you can't tell the difference between the claims he is making - read: LIES - and the promises he's making - read: GOALS.

Please be sure and let us know when you finally learn to tell the difference. Or not.

By all means, explain to us how you know the difference between when Trump is lying and when he's telling the truth and what makes you a subject matter expert.

I just explained it in the post above. Read it until you get it. Hint: The words in bold are a clue.

musk can be a disgusting person even if he makes a product one likes.

Musk is pushing electric cars to replace gas cars. If anyone is serious about the "earth", then they woujld celebrate him.

can you quote this "naval gazing left" who wants people to "fade away without complaint"? lol

If you want low energy, you shit can the hope and dreams of billions. It is an either or choice.

1. They are not welcome here.

2. THeir presence hurts my interests.

3. This is in the context of rights for AMERICAN CITIZENS, bringing up the illegals was really stupid.

WAKE UP! You don't like addressing Trump's LIFELONG HISTORY OF RACISM, so you excuse it by saying the subject is boring, and conveniently won't even bother addressing his decades long history of money laundering, sexual predation, libel, tax cheating and criminal FRAUD! Your dodge FAILS !!

Your manufactured outrage is of no interest to me.

So you skipped about 7 or 8 points instead? Do you even read your own comments before you hit send? I'm guessing either you don't, or you're just hoping the folks here on DP are too stupid to recognize how miserably your arguments continue to fail.

Good comeback! Worthy of what we've all come to expect from your debating skills.

Inapplicable and impertinent memos from the great beyond. You spend an awful lot of time and energy to not address the content of my post. Why bother responding at all?

Do you imagine that you can get low energy without a complete loss of freedom?

I only did snippets, but it is pretty clear he grew up in a southern Christian household, which preached about manners and respect. Trump 2nd's win gave him a dose of reality.
I did too. But human decency and morals have nothing to do with politics these days. Not for the last 20-30 years when politics and campaigns have become all about the negative personal political attacks. The idea of our politics is to get folks to hate the other guy, the other party more than they hate your guy and party.

My opinion is human decency, morals, what have you have nothing to do anymore with politics and election campaigns or even governing. Fact is when folks voted this year, they didn’t vote for decency or morals, they mostly voted against Harris because they viewed the job the Biden administration which Harris was a part of, they viewed the governing job done by them as very substandard, lousy, were very dissatisfied with and wanted someone else and another party in charge. They got their wish and wants. Decency had nothing to do with this election.

What I think looking back at history when a sitting president has an overall job approval of below 50%, a disapproval approaching 60% and above that on some issues, it’s amazing Harris came this close. Biden overall job approval of 41%, 56% disapproval should have resulted in a landslide for the republicans if history is any guide. The fact this was a very close election, Trump winning by 1.6 points instead of 10 points while the GOP lost 2 house seats instead of gaining 30 or more says a lot more about Trump than Harris or the democrats.

Carter in 1980 had a job approval of 39%, he lost to Reagan by 10 points, the democrats lost 35 house seats and 12 senate seats. G.W Bush had a job approval of 37%, Bush’s replacement McCain lost to Obama by 8 points, the republicans lost 33 house seats and 8 senate seats. This is what should have happened with Biden’s job approval hovering around 40%, it didn’t. The GOP running Trump prevented them from a landslide victory. Which as I say, says much more about Trump than Harris or the democrats.

1. They are not welcome here.
?? They've always been welcome here, throughout our entire history.
Read the inscription on the Statue of Liberty.
2. THeir presence hurts my interests.
Unless you hire landscapers, need construction done, stay at hotels, eat fruits and vegetables, etc ......
3. This is in the context of rights for AMERICAN CITIZENS, bringing up the illegals was really stupid.
This seems like a myopic viewpoint to me.

Your manufactured outrage is of no interest to me.
Nor is yours of interest to me. You see? I knew we could find something in common.
😁
Do you imagine that you can get low energy without a complete loss of freedom?
You'll have to decrypt that for me.

1. They are not welcome here.
They are welcome here. Ha.

We have a housing shortage. Prices are outrageous. We'll take the ones you don't want. The California Central Valley needs 'em, too. Send all you want.

2. THeir presence hurts my interests.
Your interests hurt my eyes.

3. This is in the context of rights for AMERICAN CITIZENS, bringing up the illegals was really stupid.
Hiring illegals in the context of rights for American citizens to practice capitalism as they must to survive.

Low energy shit, is a fantasy from the navel gazing left,
Where the hell is the hyphen?

What the hell is wrong with you?

You might as well tell piranhas to start being vegetarians.
****ing piranhas.

All those great movies and there has never been a SINGLE HUMAN DEATH attributed to them.

It's like mother nature is just mailing it in. It's worse than the giant squid thing.

That's total bullshit. Quite the contrary, "Party above all" is obviously the Republican credo. I won't even bother citing the dozens of spot on criticisms of Trump that his own elected party members voiced, who then ignored their own claims that he was unfit for office, saying they would vote for him anyway.

So,

Frigging Stalinists....

Now we're in the "But Biden" phase.

Nobody is as corrupt and morally bankrupt as Trump. There's no competition.

Downplaying child groping that, A) Took place on camera and B) Was acknowledged as having happened by the girl herself in a private conversation, is definitely not a good look.

Please. If you are going for the "creep" factor, Donald has most everyone beat - by miles.

“They let you do it if you’re a star. You can do anything.”

I'm of the opinion that groping, molesting, raping, or any other similar behavior doesn't exist on a scale of "more acceptable" to "less acceptable."

Groping children or women, molesting children or women, and raping children or women are equally heinous and evil in my view, and should be seen as such based on any scale of morality or common sense.

"Some rapey behaviors are more acceptable" is a truly cuckoo position.

Groping?
Citation?

This is bullshit.

Just stop with the reich-wing rhetoric.
Opposing the sexual molestation of children is "Reich wing" these days?

That says more about you than it does me.

Volume and frequency make no difference? A pattern of behavior means nothing?

Huh.

A convenient method of ignoring severe and frequent, consistent patterns by pretending they are equivalent to imagined or grossly overstated singular events.

“They let you do it if you’re a star. You can do anything.” Is equivalent to hair sniffing.

Huh.

Huh.

In the evilness of the sexual assaulting behavior? Of course not. Are you actually endorsing the position that some kinds of groping/molestation/rape is somehow better than other kinds of groping/molesting/rape?

Is it your position that groping breasts isn't as bad as groping genitals? Or that forcing a kiss on someone who clearly doesn't want it is somehow a qualitatively better behavior than forcing sex on someone who doesn't want it?

Huh.

“They let you do it if you’re a star. You can do anything.” Is equivalent to hair sniffing.

Huh.

You're going to have to defend your implicit position that some groping is better than other groping.

My position is that it's all evil and all bad. If someone molests or rapes a victim, it doesn't matter whether uninvolved people think it's "not as bad" or some other made-up, clueless nonsense. The behavior and the motivations behind it are equally evil when someone is perpetrating any kind of assault, regardless of invented qualitative scales.

Your position seems to be that some rape is better than other rape, which is not only completely wrong, but an absolutely reprehensible position to have.

Huh.
