The assumption that education did not exist before the government provided it is simply stupid. Education is not dependent on government, government controls education to ensure compliance. Most people are so brain washed by the system, trying to explain that to them is akin to the Brondo scene in Idiocracy.....

Actually, the Democrats when LBJ was President, saw they could use tax dollars very effectively to buy votes. Platforms were not switched, but Federal spending, debt accumulation, and inflation, has grown enormously ever since.

Democrats are increasingly using the force of law (unconstitutional laws) to impose their will on everyone. Democrats applaud this use of force, and can't understand why anyone would not willingly comply.

I retired and moved abroad decades ago. Noticed a 4.8% drop in the USD vs the local currency yesterday, and looks like it's not bottomed out yet. My investments grew 19.5% from a year ago. I have to admit, I benefit much more economically when democrats are in control than I do when republicans are in control, and less tax liability by how its done.
