It's time to head back to Austin, Texas Gov., you time seems to be up.
I can't remember all that stuff either on command.
lol @ him repeatedly looking to Ron Paul for help.
LOL yeah, that's the best part. He almost managed to trick Perry into committing to dismantle the EPA in the bargain.
I'm still trying to figure out how he became the governor of Texas. I guess they don't have gubernatorial debates.
Let's see all of your sources to support these allegations.Easy, Texas is not a democracy. The GOP has gerrymandered the districts so that they will most likely never loose power (unless they really screw up, and even then it is borderline), and as long as you control all aspects of life, then it is much easier to keep any opposition down (yes without violence). Perry never debated his democratic opposition, and never had any real competition among the GOP. All he had to do was show up and file his paperwork in time and he was pretty much a sure thing.

Although this was pretty pathetic, I give him a little credit for being able to make fun of himself.

It was the correct thing to do, but I don't think he pulled it off. He needs to impress the big donors who will contribute to his campaign and I think his performance at the debate will give any serious donor pause.Although this was pretty pathetic, I give him a little credit for being able to make fun of himself.

Gov. Rick Perry for President

I dont even think people in texas like him. I think obama actually beats him there in a head to head. Kind of said. Losing you home state to a damaged incumbent.
the fundie asks a fundamental question ... could his campaign be any more intellectually "broker"Here is the fundamental question: do you believe Washington is broker?
Yes, states could fund education, if their voters held education at the high priority, like they once did. Unfortunately, I live in a state where education is underfunded and smaller schools are closing at an unprecendented rate, even with federal funding.
You can't have a good economic situation with lack of education. Don't blame schools for the wall street mess that deregulation helped along, or the outsourcing of our manufacturing base. I remember when the Caterpiller plant moved to Mexico. It was very devastating to the small town of Dallas, Oregon.
Can you believe we don't even fund NASA now? Wow!
When will liberals learn that simply throwing money at a problem won't fix it?

So he's a lousy debater, but still beat the Democrat candidate. Bush wasn't the best either (though better than Perry), and served two terms. He beat Democrats too.Texas Gerrymandering.. google it..

Plenty of links for you
As for Perry never debating his opponents or avoiding debating as much as possible when running for furher of Texas... a well known fact reported by almost all media. In 2010 he refused to debate his democratic opponent, in 2006 there was a 4 way going on for his seat and all he did was be pretty much silent while the 3 others talked. In 2002 he did debate his democratic opponent with the same result as he has had so far this year and using the same tactics you and other right winger love to use.. slander and mud. I mean accusing his opponent of being in bed with drug lords without any proof... classy...But to be fair, in 2002 the gerrymandering was not yet under way. It is always easier to avoid debating when your opponents are no threat.
Like it or not, Perry has had next to non debate experience compared to his opponents and it shows... and yet he keeps winning in Texas... strange no?
We didn't have any for the last two elections. The incumbent was too busy creating jobs in Texas to participate. /toungueincheekI'm still trying to figure out how he became the governor of Texas. I guess they don't have gubernatorial debates.
Bush was sneaky good against Gore, and did very well in his debates running for Governor. Against Kerry he didn't do so well. What he had going for him was a solid economy at the time. I have had high hopes for Perry, but his debating and over all campaign has been pathetic. Debates do matter when you flat out bomb every one of them. Eventually people are going to lose interest and faith. It's sad to me that the GOP is falling on itself and will wind up with Romney as the candidate. Looks like I will be remaining an independent conservative for a while. So he's a lousy debater, but still beat the Democrat candidate.
