Was listening to a speech of MLK's yesterday and was really hurt and disappointed that he referred to "a creator". I don't see how such an enlightened person can really believe in any kind of creator in a post-evolution age. This really changes my outlook on the man and makes me cynical that he was doing what the religious always do - proselytize to get more money of their church.

MLK has more skeletons in his closet than just being a creationist lol...

It has been said that he was inspired by B Graham's crusades, so may be?

MLK was no more of a creationist than those that wrote the US Declaration of Independence. He was simply arguing for equal protection of the law.

Oh my goodness, this can't be real.

OP is this a skit? Are you doing some kind of method acting?

Let me guess...he slept with white women and helped the "kawnyunists" right?

I don't think he had a good track record with women, that's for sure. No idea if he slept with a white woman or not, why would that be scandalous? Unless it was while cheating on his wife.

I thought you were an SJW why are you criticizing a "person of colour"?

Any skeletons in the MLK closet we're destroyed by Hoover's Secretary and his partner after the FBI directors death. By skeletons you mean like sleeping with a porn star and then having your lawyer pay her off?

You can be right about one subject without being right about everything. Deal with it. All your heros will have some flaws.

Not a whole lot of churches around that dont have creators.

And yes, that is what (most) religions do...they proclaim and preach the word and expectations of their creator(s). This is just occurring to you now?

In any preaching capacity, a preacher...like MLK...is going to address their main focus of attention

Besides, loads of religious people are capable of understanding and accepting evolution and the same for scientists being religious.
