A few interesting things about Tyler Robinson

1. He mimicked PePe the frog, which is a well known alt-right meme

2. It appears that messages on his shell casing, a song that is on the groyper playlist

Is this potentially inter-factional war between fascist organizations?

Was Charlie Kirk's killer an alt-right follower of Nick Fuentes?
Definitely not.

Robinson took the time and effort to inscribe anti-fascist messages on the shell casings of the ammo that he used to assassinate Charlie Kirk.

The assassin's motive for the assassination was clearly based on radicalized anti-fascist beliefs, and not Groypers.

Those messages more directly correlate to video which many old folks on this forum know very little about.

Family members of the young Utah man accused of shooting Charlie Kirk told authorities he had recently become “more political” and saw the ally of President Donald Trump as a person spreading hate, according to a probable cause statement.

Tyler James Robinson, 22, of Washington, Utah, is registered to vote but is not affiliated with a political party, according to Utah state records. He was also listed as inactive, meaning he had not voted in at least the last two general elections. His parents are both registered as Republicans.

Utah’s governor said family members told authorities that Robinson “had become more political in recent years.” Cox described a recent family dinner in which Robinson mentioned Kirk’s planned appearance. “They talked about why they didn’t like him and the viewpoints that he had,” Cox said, referring to Robinson and an unnamed family member. “The family member also stated Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate.”

It was all so performative.

Dude completely disappears without a trace but leaves bullet casings with supposed trans messages on them, love notes about fascists.

Very performative. Very Hollywood plot armor stuff. Like he'd seen too many movies. Definitely something by someone who doesn't leave their parents basement often.

This is the 2nd time in a year we get a guy like this.

Definitely not.

Fascism is fairly radical, does one have to be a radical to be anti-fascist?
Granted, the step to "assassinate this leader" is radical, but opposition to fascism isn't.

I'm now middle aged, but it's kind of humorous watching folks older than me including in the FBI and ATF, completely not get internet culture.

The "anti fascists" writings were a video game reference and a former anti-fascist song from Italy that has been co-opted by the Groypers, a alt-right/nazi movement.

🤣

No, he didn't. He "inscribed" Internet memes into the shell casings.

Sometimes you have to read past the headline, and use some critical thinking.

Who else here knew that no matter what was discovered about the killer, what he wrote on his shell casings or how obvious his motives were, lefties were always going to claim he was a rightie?

I went down a Reddit rabbit hole a bit earlier…it brought up an interesting angle from within the online subcultures where basically there were the groypers that saw Kirk as too moderate?

And that somehow ties in with gamers - particularly those with an affinity towards certain games such ans Helldiver - almost a cross section. And it seems the arrows represent an “ultimate” code in one version of that game. And the one Halloween costume was almost a groyper “flag” because it was one used as a symbol often by that particular subsection?

It was…interesting and alarming. And I could and probably will spend quite a bit more time down that rabbit hole just reading because it’s…concerning how much I just was completely unaware of and need to learn so as to be able to keep a watch out for with having a kid and the internet and such.

Ugh.

Like he was terminally online and familiar with shitposting. Also, maybe he doesn't understand Helldivers 2 is satire.

They seem to know and don't care. It's part of their troll thing, it's like co-opting an Italian anti-fascists song.

I play H2 with my sons. It's literally an homage to Verhoeven's Starship Troopers.

You mean how like Donald Trump immediately came out and started blasting the left?

That kind of thing?

So not trans, left leaning or even a Democrat.

Are Groypers fascists?

Helldiver is a pretty fun game and a lot of people play it, the game is a knockoff of Starship Troopers and you go to fight for this over the top fascists government that talks about "bringing freedom" to places by basically wiping out everything on the planet. The alt right trolls take that satire and adopt it.

One of the casings was an anti-fascists Italian song, which the fascists Groypers have co-opted

They are, they believe Charlie Kirk was gatekeeping conservatism and wasn't extreme enough. They also called these "gatekeepers" fascists.

MAGA is so interesting, it's all these Boomers and chronically online incels in their 20's.

You can tell a lot of the MAGA on here are completely out of their element on this subject.

So, then Sky Chief might be right. This person probably wasn't a Groyper if he put anti-fascist messages on the ammo he used.

Those 20 somethings are in for a rude awakening with the economy and inflation and housing prices and everything else they have to pay for.

Kirk was pro-Bibi, endorsed giving green cards to foreign-born grad students, and while clearly WN adjacent, not Nazi "enough". Fuentes can play cute now, but he singled out Kirk. He went on Jimmy Dore two weeks ago to target him.

He was from a right-wing Mormon family living in perhaps the most right-wing part of Utah. Political violence goes way back with that group...

"Although Joseph Smith was no pacifist—he preached an aggressive self-defense against the Mormon Church's many enemies—prior to September 1857, the Mormons had more often been the victims of violence than its perpetrators. That all changed with the darkest incident of the Mormon War, a series of attacks known as the Mountain Meadows Massacre."

If you are not familiar with The American Experience tv series, I give it an enthusiastic two-thumbs up.

It wasn't anti-fasicsm. The "catch this fascists" is from a video game where you serve for a fascists government and take over planets.

The other anti-fascists thing was cia bella which is an old Italian anti-fascists song.

Trolling is very important to this online nazi/alt right groups. The groypers have adopted the italian song.

You're expecting some sort of coherency from this group, half the shit they say is stuff they believe and the other half is just trolling and being ironic.

I don't think most MAGA really understand the young males that piled in for Trump. This is them, online alt right incels that are angsty nihilists.
