...The Cleveland Plain Dealer first reported on the food drive, which has sparked outrage in the area.
"That Wal-Mart would have the audacity to ask low-wage workers to donate food to other low-wage workers — to me, it is a moral outrage," Norma Mills, a customer at the store, told the Plain Dealer...
Well it appears that a Cleveland, Ohio Walmart is holding a food drive so that it's employees can have a nice Holiday meal. The sign in the store, accompanied by several plastic bins, reads: "Please donate food items so associates in need can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner."
Really? Thank goodness those people are employed so those associates don't have to get on food stamps.
What cracks me up with some people that see nothing wrong with what Walmart is doing would probably go berserk if you wished them "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas."

Are they really getting an exemption???? I hadn't heard that. I know all corps are getting a delay, but getting an exemption? Please provide a link. The WalMart heirs - 4 of them - only have $20 BILLION dollars each so - accordingly to Obama - are SO poor they needed government welfare in the form of exemption from ObamaCare.
Anyone who walks into a Wal-Mart, knowing what they are, is so self centered and greedy I doubt they are even remotely willing to help someone else unless there is a tax break in it for them.
I'm pretty sure you just indicted an enormous swathe of people, perhaps even a majority of Americans. Why not add every single fast food or minimum wage operated store in the country? It's silly.

Yes, intentionally. By far the vast majority of Americans are self centered and greedy. And yes for the most part you can add fast food and places like it. I never intentionally set to exclude them.

I guess the fact that Walmart employs millions of people is irrelevant to your narrow minded perception. I suppose you never buy fast food either. How nice for you to live in your little, perfect world.

He probably purposely doesn't buy fast food, thereby assuring that some lose their jobs, and starve. Oh wait.........sounds like the people he's bitching about.

Perhaps you should look in the mirror.I've never seen someone work so hard at being a laughable caricature.

You're most definitely correct, American. Not only is Walmart making a killing wage-wise but the company is pretty good using the rich man's welfare system.Looks like more government-only-solutions meme.
"Wal-Mart presents itself as an entrepreneurial success story, yet over a few decades it has made extensive use of tax breaks, free land, cash grants and other forms of public assistance," Philip Mattera, research director of Good Jobs First said in a statement.
The study, which is funded in part by the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, found that 91 Wal-Mart stores have received individual subsidies ranging from $1 million to about $12 million, in the form of free or reduced-priced land, job training funds, sales tax rebates, tax credits and infrastructure assistance, including investment in roads.
In total, these subsidies amounted to $245 million, the report said.

Wal-Mart shopping for subsidies?
Watchdog group's report says $1B in government subsidies have aided the retailer's expansion.
It appears that Walmart knows how to put up signs and plastic pails in DC too, huh. Oh, well. I guess that's a better system than touching their own money, huh.
No I dont buy fast food. I thought that was pretty clear from before.
