[W:#854]Ocasio-Cortez criticizes GOP for 'projecting their sexual frustrations' at her

I don't hate anyone. I'm pointing out the contempt and hate repubmicans have for democrats. You can't possibly believe it's not fact. You can read it here and elsewhere every day. Its a low IQ thing with most and hereditary.
There is hyper-partisanship on both sides, and if your eyes are open you can see that here, too. In fact, the last sentence in your post confirms it on at least one side as you literally declare those who disagree with you to be genetic inferiors.

Biden being outside with his wife, both of whom are vaxxed (and assuming they've been "boosted")...with a mask on does look ridiculous. It's dumb theatrics.
I have this weird theory that Biden and his wife aren't actually the only two people in the world and therefore maybe the mask isn't just about those two specifically.

It must be doing some of it or inflation would probably be higher since we are using fiat money.
Laughable assertion presented with no evidence and is inherently unfalsifiable. Not interested.

Crypto is fiat money, dude.

It should be a simple truth. There is an actual demand and supply for crypto. It shows up in the ask and bid prices.

That's my general take on it. I believe this all started by someone in DeSantis' office commenting on her being in FL with her boyfriend, and hopefully she'll learn to separate signal from noise. I think a retort more in line with what the individual was critiquing (having freedom in FL vs NY) would have been more effective since it was a rather daft ankle biting comment to begin with.

I think the broader problem for public figures nowadays is a social media presence is expected at some level, and its become much harder to let silly slights go ignored. What's far more important is how one responds, and to make sure it's accurate or it can become a bit of a mess.
As usual well stated and right to the damn point.

I imagine there are a few good looking Democrat females. I just haven’t seen any. For AOC to think she’s hot is like saying Mayor Lifhtfoot is a catch.
That's a lame deflectuon from the issue. It is in fact her physical appearance that is attacked not whether she is attractive or not. This thread was not created to discuss your sexual fantasies thank you.

That's not a reason that crypto would reduce inflation. Do you have an argument for the idea that crypto reduces inflation?

The price changed due to built-in inflationary pressures and demand and supply; simple market based forces. Where do you believe a lot of that money that actually got printed went?

I am assuming infrastructure upgrade does what it is supposed to do to reduce supply-side inflationary pressures on the private sector.

Answer the question, how many fat women are at them?
Please define fat so I know how you measure it and whether its from personal insight. On a more lighter note (that was a pun I am trying not to be too heavy with you in response) why are you engaging someone in a subjective discussion of what you consider fat? Where did you think this thread was about your subjective feelings as to fat? Is that the same place Paradox got the idea he should share his sex fantasies? What exactly is the problem with you Trumpets? Can you differentiate your own feelings from actual laws and policies you disagree with? Can you even attempt to discuss the law or policy without talking about your own sexual fantasies?

Give it a rest. Either point to a specific issue you disagree with or move on man.

I don't understand what you think you are arguing here. Crypto has "demand and supply." So do apples and video games and beer.

Simple economics? It means market forces must apply.
Yes, market forces apply.

The claim was that crypto is reducing inflation.

Market forces apply to apples. Therefore apples reduce inflation. Yes?

By your "simple statement" I assume you mean "If the state reduces taxes by a $billion through tax credits, it has the identical effect on all the parties as spending a $billion in cash." Here's how it's wrong.
I'm not sure why you can't just address my example. Do the math, book the entries for Amazon with 1) a cash grant, or 2) a refundable tax credit. Then do it for NYS or NYC. I can tell you they do not care which one they get, unless they prefer the tax credit because it's not tracked like those grants, never has to be reauthorized, isn't affected by government shutdowns, and is buried on a 'tax expenditure' report by Treasury that no one reads but geeks like me.
Take the last example and add a twist: you, the mayor, think spending $3m "in cash" on some new initiative is the same as giving the credit to Amazon. Here are your new choices:
  1. If Amazon says "yes," your tax revenues will increase to $107m ($110m minus the credit) to cover existing expenses.
  2. If Amazon says "no," and you also spend $3m on some new initiative, you're leaving only $97m to cover existing expenses.
No, you're not getting it at all. If the $3 million in spending is on a new initiative is to bribe companies with grants to locate in NYC, then how is it different than granting them tax credits? If the $3 million is on a road, and I can project the road improvement will increase traffic for businesses, increase property values, sales tax revenues, and that amount is $5 million discounted to the present, then the government makes $2 million on a discounted cash flow basis. But we wouldn't call that spending "free" just that it has a positive return.

And point 1 also makes the assumption that Amazon is the only player, and then you're ignoring that if Amazon says yes, every other company on the planet must say "NO" to using that space for anything. So you're ignoring the opportunity cost.

This is the trick the projections do for a new NFL stadium. They assume that the space the stadium will occupy has no other use, so the value of the stadium is only positive, but of course if you take 20 acres or whatever off the grid for the stadium, that's 20 acres not available for high end housing or offices, etc. Then they say, well, 9 Sundays we'll have 80K in the stadium, all buying beer and food, then beer and food before and after, and the hotels, etc., then project out the taxes on all that spending, and voila - the city MAKES money by buying a stadium for some $billionaire!! Win win!! But that's pretending that if Joe spends $500 on Sunday for an NFL game and all the rest it's not $500 he won't spend on other food, drink, movies, shows, etc.
These scenarios are not the same. With Amazon and the tax credit you have more. Without Amazon and spending the $3m you have less to cover existing expenses. QED: Your "simple statement" has been proven false.

Walking away from a discount on net new money doesn't save you a dime.
I've addressed all these points and you just ignore them so I'll quit with what I have above.

That's a lame deflectuon from the issue. It is in fact her physical appearance that is attacked not whether she is attractive or not. This thread was not created to discuss your sexual fantasies thank you.
A sexual fantasy usually involves someone that looks like a horse, or a fish??

Okeeeyyy!!!

I'm not into sex with animals or fish.

Maybe after two cases, a bottler of scotch, some weed, and snorting coke, I would if she wore two masks to hide those horse teeth.

You?

You are not the issue as much as you want it to be and keep asking people to pay attention to you. Your adolescent bravado simply shows how sexually insecure you are.

No, you stop right there. As a blanket statement that is false. You're just not understanding the concept of a discount on a future (and contingent) cash flow.

Let's try again. Let's imagine you run a city and you're trying to entice Amazon to put a facility in one of your neighborhoods. Your tax base currently generates $100m in tax revenue per year. If Amazon builds their plant it will add $10m to your tax revenue based on how you would normally assess the now more valuable property. To sweeten the deal for Amazon, you offer a 30% tax credit, i.e. a $3m per year special tax credit. Here are the two paths before you:
  • If Amazon says "yes," your tax revenues will increase to $107m ($110m minus the credit)
  • If Amazon says "no," then your tax base remains $100m and -- unless you're a confused boob like AOC -- you understand you don't have an extra $3m to spend from the "saved" credit.
Until you can explain away this math your answers will mean nothing.
Ahh yes numbers sure work out great when you can make them up

Some of us believe in the free market instead of giving special treatment to specific companies.

Another amazing display of projection. Here AOC acts adolescent by claiming the "boys' think she's hot, and is ridiculed universally for being a dog, err, I mean a horse, and you claim that it is I (us) who are acting like adolescents.

Take it from me, no one I know thinks she is hot. Maybe at the stables, she could get a date. Oh WAIT! Looks like the two hotties are a match

The sex portion of this thread was introduced by AOC. She is so thin skinned she can't accept criticism for her hypocrisy, so she throws out some ridiculous excuse and of course her tard lemmings jump on her train and start name calling.

And dude, if you don't know what fat is, you need to get out of the basement man.

Left-wingers are typically incensed at any denigration of a person's looks or weight. They want to be good feminists and GOP without makeup, wear crappy clothes and be fat, and still have others think they are "hot" ala AOC. If they are accepted, they accuse men of being sexist pigs. If they weigh 250 they want their fitness to be considered a plus and AOK, (not AOC). We should continue and have the right to call someone fat because they are primarily the ones that are a burden on society with all manner of physical problems.

Consider it from a historical perspective, the Geman government could have generated revenue from general taxes on crypto. They did not have a supply-side problem but more of a financial dilemma that could have been "absorbed" by crypto.

I notice that the intelligence of the Fox News women are inversely proportional to their looks.
Yeah, nothing says “dumb“ like a Harvard law degree…. *Sarcasm*

Sorry, but you're not coherent enough for me to continue this conversation.

I think , considering the people here that claim to have either harvard or yale law degrees, you don't need intelligence to be a lawyer.

Team DeSantis welcomed AOC to Florida

Welcome to Florida, AOC! We hope you’re enjoying a taste of freedom here in the Sunshine State thanks to @RonDeSantisFL’s leadership. twitter.com/philipaklein/s…

AOC answered with this tweet:
Hasn't Gov. DeSantis been inexplicably missing for like 2 weeks? If he's around, I would be happy to say hello. His social media team seems to have been posting old photos for weeks. In the meantime, perhaps I could help with local organizing. (reference to fund raising in TX during Cruz's flight to Cancun) Folks are quite receptive here (in Florida)
Italics are mine.

The next day Steve Cortes started the day with a tweet about the photo Team DeSantis posted along with their welcome post.

1. If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL.
2. Her guy is showing his gross pale male feet in public (not at a pool/beach) with hideous sandals.

After that there were many posts criticizing Cortez for being trivial about AOC and a her boyfriends foot wear. Many accusing him of being obsessed by feet and AOC. Then these two posts appeared and apparently the sexual obsessing about AOC got worse

It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women,& LGBT+ people in general.
These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird

I’m glad you felt the need to share that with the world.
Don’t worry, this is a totally normal thought to have and share as an editor of a right-wing website, and totally doesn’t prove my point at all.
I hear if you say it enough times you’ll actually start to believe it

The fact that these people are so creepy/weird yet are also the ones responsible for shaping the NEWS HEADLINES we all see in media should be really concerning.
I don’t even want to know what knuckle-dragging thoughts these people have all day while covering women in politics

What you have to realize about AOC is that - while she’s a dumbass - she’s a master of deflection.
She says whatever she wants, and then just accuses her critics of being sexist, or racist, or horny.
If you’re not careful, she’ll distract you with her ridiculous strawmen.

If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos

I 100% agree that this is concerning. But as a democrat, I hate to say this - you’re a congresswoman. I don’t know why you’re taking the bait. Please act in a manner consistent with the seriousness of your office. This is really childish.

And it is but
