That's exactly what he is inferring, and for the record it's pretty obvious that some mentally ill teen was sacrificed for a reality tee vee stunt that they call an assassination attempt because ear cartiledge does not magically grow back.
It was not as assassination attempt, it was a stunt.

As for Scalise, let's remember that Hodgkinson had a long record of domestic violence and mental illness, and he received the appropriate response, because is dead now, unlike Vance Boelter.

Give it a rest, literally: Let the dust settle and the facts come out for chrissakes. You don't have to be first in with the latest lies before we have all the facts. There are no points for being quicker, but still wrong.

Generally his targets and current manifesto (if there is one) are more than enough to tell you about a shooter's politics in the moment he acted. Other than that, and often in addition to it, he's just ****ing crazy anyway.

I actually find this slightly offensive because it doesn't make any sense that it was a stunt.

1. A stunt set up by who? And how did they get around security and the Secret Service? That would require collusion. And if that's the way it happened, then it makes more sense that it would have been people that wanted to kill him, not people that wouldn't.

2. You don't fire multiple rounds of live ammo onto a stage full of people for a stunt.

3. An innocent man was murdered during this.

There are so many logical arguments you can make against Trump. You don't benefit from arguments that don't even make sense.

Not to mention that comment was lobbed right around the time Chelsea was in the most awkward phase of puberty where both young girls and boys are at their most vulnerable, so it was a truly tasteless attack.
And Miss Chelsea did grow up to be an attractive and smart young lady, not a dog at all.

From the NY Times, reprinted in my local newspaper today re the above:

"She wanted to protect state health coverage for adult immigrants living in the U.S. illegally, a liberal policy enacted on her watch as speaker in 2023. But when the only budget deal that she could broker included a GOP bill to cut that coverage, she provided the single Democratic vote in the House, securing its passage so that state government would remain funded for the next two years."

So, it appears that she had the interests of the entire population of Minnesota in her decision. Good for her.

Notice how it's been four years since he croaked and NOBODY in media and none of the pundits on either side have mentioned him or any of his work, even in passing.
Nobody has ever celebrated January 12th, his birthday, there is only a single plaque honoring him in a hall that honors famous Missourians but nothing anywhere in our Nation's Capital, or in New York City where he did his largest syndicated radio show. There's virtually NOTHING that keeps in the hearts and minds of Americans.
It's almost as if he never even existed. 😆
 
The bothsiderism (from sane and decent people) has a chance to allow Trump and the Republican Congress to end our democracy.

Which will destroy the families of many of the people who played the bothsiderism.

Obviously I was replying to your last comment about your stupid conspiracy theory about the two victims voting against healthcare for immigrants, and how that somehow explains why the killer was not a Trump supporter.

The bottom line is Trump and his supporters are authoritarian thugs who rely on the threat of violence to get what they want. The reason why Trump supporters are inventing all manner of conspiracy theories to explain this attack away is because it is an example of illegitimate violence that undermines the broader rationale for Trump’s authority (big “tough” guy needed to solve emergencies).
